The Stolen Kiss
''The Stolen Kiss'' is a 1920 American silent romance drama film starring Constance Binney. Kenneth Webb directed. The Realart Company, an affiliate of Paramount Pictures, produced the film. A print is preserved at the British Film Institute, London. Plot As described in a film magazine, very natural and impulsive Felicia Day (Binney), kept by a watchful governess and vigilant grandfather within walls that surround her home, makes the acquaintance of but one boy, Dudley Hamilt (La Rocque), who sings in the choir of the church next door. Years pass and he returns as a young man, again to meet Felicia over the garden wall, at which time they kiss impulsively only to be separated by her grandparent. Years pass and her grandparent dies, so she returns as an old fashioned maiden to the city. Forced to make her living by sewing, she has many adventures but is always trying to locate her ideal, Dudley. He, meanwhile, searches for her with equal ardor. The film concludes with their me ... Kenneth Seymour Webb (16 October 1885 New York City – 6 March 1966 Hollywood, California) was an American film director, screenwriter, and composer noted for directing a number of films in the early age of the American film industry. Robert Schable
Robert Schable (August 31, 1873 – July 7, 1947) was an American stage and screen actor as well as a stage manager from Hamilton, Ohio. Biography A longtime stage player from the Charles Frohman company since the 1890s, Schable began in silent films in 1919. In films he often played comedic, character parts or men with a European flair. He died, from Ptomaine poisoning, in Hollywood in 1947. Alternately ''IMDb'' has his death as a suicide. Frank Losee (June 12, 1856 – November 14, 1937) was an American stage and screen actor. A veteran of the Broadway stage he began in silent films in 1915. Often he played the father of Mary Pickford, Pauline Frederick and Marguerite Clark.
