The Stick People
The Stick People is an American alternative rock/ punk rock band formed in 2008 in Hollywood, California, United States, which plays a fusion of alternative rock, punk rock, metal, and other musical styles. Best known for guitarist duo Bernie Godwin, son of producer Dito Godwin, and Mike Stone, former Queensrÿche guitarist. The Stick People was assembled by the group's producer, Dito Godwin, in 2008 and 2009, with the exception of Billy Close who was brought in by Mike Stone in 2010. History (2008–2010) The Stick People spent most of 2009 recording their debut CD, but released a digital single, "TRUST" online as a free download. On August 17, they released the debut commercial single "Think About That" through EFM Records, Bungalo, Universal Music Group Distribution. Dito Godwin
Dito Godwin (1955–2021) was an American record producer and executive, best known for his production works with Mötley Crüe, Peter Criss and Ace Frehley of Kiss, Great White, and more recently No Doubt, Kevin Carlberg, The Stick People and Kristy Lee Cook of ''American Idol''. Biography Godwin started his career in New York as a musician touring with names like Black Sabbath before turning to the administrative and production roles he has worked in for over 25 years in the industry. He has also taught at UCLA, University of Sound Arts, LACC, Southern Oregon University, and guest spoken at NXNW, SXSW, LAMP and many other music conventions nationwide. Vincent Neil Wharton (born February 8, 1961), best known by the stage name Vince Neil, is an American musician. He is the lead vocalist and occasional rhythm guitarist of heavy metal band Mötley Crüe, which he fronted from their 1981 formation until his departure in 1992. Quiet Riot is an American Heavy metal music, heavy metal band founded in Los Angeles in 1973 by guitarist Randy Rhoads and bassist Kelly Garni. The original lineup featured Rhoads and Garni with lead vocalist Kevin DuBrow and drummer Drew Forsyth, though that version of the band was mired in turmoil that would eventually see Garni fired for making death threats towards DuBrow. Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. Mike Stone (musician)
Mike Stone (born November 30, 1969) is an American heavy metal guitarist, best known for his involvement in the progressive metal band Queensrÿche. He joined Queensrÿche for their 2003 Tribe tour, and made his first appearance on the 2003 album ''Tribe'', with writing credits for the song "Losing Myself". Stone was the guitarist for the rock band Speed-X, and currently the guitarist and backup vocalist of the alternative punk rock band, The Stick People.
