Current Affairs (news Format)
Current affairs is a genre of broadcast journalism in which major news stories are discussed at length in a timely manner. This differs from regular news broadcasts that place emphasis on news reports presented for simple presentation as soon as possible, often with a minimum of analysis. It is also different from the news magazine show format in that the events are discussed immediately. Aasha Mehreen Amin is a Bangladeshi journalist and writer, former editor of the weekly magazine ''Star'' and the former head of the Editorial team at The ''Daily Star''. She is currently joint editor at ''The Daily Star''. Biography Aasha Mehreen Amin was born in Dhaka to a Bengali Muslim family. Ahmede Hussain
Ahmede Hussain (born 16 July 1978) is a Bangladeshi writer. His ancestors hail from the former Portuguese enclave of Patherghata, Chittagong in Bangladesh. He was the Literary Editor of The Daily Star (Bangladesh). He edited ''The New Anthem: The Subcontinent in its Own Words'', an anthology of fiction from the Indian subcontinent.
