The Sound And The Fury (album)
''The Sound and the Fury'' is the fifth album by British singer-songwriter Nerina Pallot. It was released on 11 September 2015, four years since her last studio album '' Year of the Wolf''. The first release from the album was the teaser track "The Road". The first official single, a re-recording of "Rosseau" from Pallot's 12 EP set ''The Year of the EPs'', was released alongside ''The Sound and the Fury'' on 11 September 2015. Background and recording In 2014, Pallot spent 12 months recording 12 EPs of five songs in a project she titled ''The Year of the EPs''. Following fan feedback and critical response, the best tracks were selected, alongside the recording of three new songs to be reworked to form a new studio album. Nerina Pallot
Nerina Natasha Georgina Pallot (born 26 April 1974) is an English singer, songwriter and producer, who has released six albums and over a dozen EPs. She was nominated for British Female Solo Artist at the 2007 BRIT Awards and nominated for an Ivor Novello Award for "Sophia (Nerina Pallot song), Sophia" in the category of 'Best Song (musically and lyrically)' in the same year. Besides her own material, Pallot has written songs for Kylie Minogue and Diana Vickers. She mostly tours around the UK and is married to record producer Andy Chatterley. Early life Pallot was born in London and brought up in Jersey by a French people, half-French father and a mother from Allahabad, Prayag, India, together with her sister. Pop Rock
Pop rock (also typeset as pop/rock) is a fusion genre with an emphasis on professional songwriting and recording craft, and less emphasis on attitude than rock music. Andy Chatterley (born 8 May 1973) is a British record producer and songwriter. He is also the CEO of online content protection company MUSO. Life and career Chatterly was born in Jersey, Channel Islands. He attended Victoria College, Jersey. ''Year of the Wolf'' is the fourth album by British singer-songwriter Nerina Pallot. It was released on 13 June 2011. The first single is the track "Put Your Hands Up". Popjustice called the song "an understated yet patently brilliant tune" and "highly addictive". The album entered the UK Albums Chart at No. 31. Background and recording After self-releasing her third album '' The Graduate'', Jolly returned to a major label, Geffen Records, for the release of ''Year of the Wolf''. The album's title comes from her son, Wolfie, with whom she was pregnant during the recording of the album. In an interview with the BBC, Jolly said that her pregnancy affected both the physical recording of the song, making it more difficult to sing, and also its emotional content, particularly the song "History Boys".
