The Soul Sessions (Deni Hines Album)
''The Soul Sessions'' is the fourth studio album by Australian singer Deni Hines. It was released on 18 November 2016 by Bitchin' Productions. The album was released in Japan by P-Vine. The album includes several tracks co-written by Hines—"I Got Your Back", "Runnin'" and the lead single "What About Love". Background and Release Throughout 2013 and 2014, Hines performed around Australia 'The Café Soul Sessions' tour and the idea for a soul-inspired album was born. Hines decided to record the album concept, stating "I had a moment on stage recently where I stood back and watched them and thought 'Man, this band is hot!' and I wanted to capture in a recording how good they are when they play live." She added; "I hope you support the project because I'd really like to showcase these amazing musicians with songs that have been close to my heart since I was a child." Deni Hines
Dohnyale "Deni" Sharon Hines (born 4 September 1970) is an Australian singer who has been releasing music since the early 1990s, with chart success in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Europe. She is the daughter of American-Australian singer Marcia Hines. Hines released her first single with the Australian band Rockmelons with a cover version of the Bill Withers 1971 hit "Ain't No Sunshine". She then went on to release solo material, including the top-five single " It's Alright" and the top-20 album ''Imagination'' (1996), which sold more than 55,000 copies worldwide. A remix album, which included brand-new tracks, became ''Remix Your Imagination''". Andre "Dre" Harris is an American songwriter and record producer. Biography Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Harris grew up in a city known for its contributions to Black American music, namely the sub-genre of Philly soul. Deriving his inspiration from the local musicians that played with a lot of the major artists that came out of the City of Brotherly Love, as well as his musical family, he started playing drums in the church when he was just seven years old. Harris kept with his love for music throughout his youth; eventually teaching himself to play piano, guitar and bass during his teenage years. Jordan "Jerry" Ragovoy (September 4, 1930 – July 13, 2011) was an American songwriter and record producer. His best-known composition " Time Is on My Side" (written under the pseudonym of Norman Meade) was made famous by the Rolling Stones, although it had been recorded earlier by Kai Winding and Irma Thomas. Ragovoy also wrote " Stay With Me", which was originally recorded by Lorraine Ellison and made famous by Bette Midler in her film '' The Rose''. It was also performed by Mary J.
