The Song Of Rákóczi
''The Song of Rákóczi'' (Hungarian: ''Rákóczi nótája'') is a 1943 Hungarian historical adventure film directed by József Daróczy and starring Klári Tolnay, János Sárdy and Károly Kovács.Judson & Rozenblit p.213 It was shot at the Hunnia Studios in Budapest. The film's sets were designed by the art director László Dudás. Synopsis During Rákóczi's War of Independence against the Habsburg Empire, a young woman adopts various disguises in order to assist Francis Rákóczi and to rescue her own lover from the Austrians. Sári Déry
Sári Déry (1911–1952) was a Hungarian stage and film actress. Székely &Gajdó p.705 She was married three times, including to the actor Nándor Bihary. She was born in Bratislava, then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire but later part of Czechoslovakia. After first appearing on stage in Bratislava, she emigrated to Budapest where she appeared at a variety of theatres. In the early 1950s she was persecuted by the Communist regime and had to leave Budapest, something loosely portrayed in the 1984 film '' Oh, Bloody Life''.
