The Soldier Thread
The Soldier Thread was an indie pop band from Austin, Texas. Since its formation in late 2007, the quintet underwent an alteration in style from a true indie sound to more of a pop sound. Songwriter, pianist and guitarist Justin McHugh with guitarist Todd Abels, recruited violist and singer Patricia Lynn, as well as drummer Drew Vandiver. Together, the band began recording tracks for their demo EP ''Fevers and Fireworks''. After bassist Chance Gilmore joined, the band garnered enough attention from the EP and was given the opportunity to record their debut full-length album, ''Shapes''. Lynn had close ties to Justin Furstenfeld of Blue October, and was featured on the song "The Follow Through" from their 2011 album, ''Any Man in America''. Blue October is an American rock band originally from Houston, Texas. Justin Steward Furstenfeld (born December 14, 1975) is an American musician and actor. He is the lead vocalist, guitarist, and lyricist of rock band Blue October. He is also a member of the band Harvard of the South. Personal life When not touring with his band, Furstenfeld resides in San Marcos, Texas. ''Any Man in America'' is the sixth studio album and ninth album overall by alternative rock band Blue October. The album was recorded at Matchbox Studios in Austin, Texas between Summer of 2010 and March 2011, and was released August 16, 2011 by Justin Furstenfeld's Up/Down Records and distributed through RED Distribution. The album was produced by Tim Palmer, who has previously worked with artists such as David Bowie, Robert Plant, The Cure, U2 and Pearl Jam and had mixed Blue October's album ''History for Sale''. The artwork on the album cover is a drawing of Justin Furstenfeld drawn by Tim Palmer's daughter Bluebell, who was three years old at the time. The Wind and The Wave (stylized as The Wind + The Wave) is an American band composed of Dwight A. Baker and Patricia Lynn. Background Dwight Baker and Patricia Lynn played their first show on July 4, 2013, in Austin, Texas, opening for Bob Schneider.
