The Smurfette
''The Smurfette'' (French: ''La Schtroumpfette'') is the third album of the original French-language ''Smurfs'' comic series. The story has also been made into an episode of the Smurfs animated cartoon show, where the only known significant difference is that Smurfette stays in the village for the rest of the show's run. Apart from the titular story, it contains another one called ''La Faim des Schtroumpfs'' ("''The Hunger of the Smurfs''"). Plot ''The Smurfette'' Gargamel wants to take revenge against the Smurfs for his humiliating defeat at their hands. He decides that the most horrible plan to destroy them would be to send them a female Smurf, who shall seduce them and lead them to their doom. Éditions Dupuis S.A. () is a Belgium, Belgian publisher of comic albums and magazines. Based in Marcinelle near Charleroi, Dupuis was founded in 1922 by Jean Dupuis, and is mostly famous for its comic comics album, albums and magazines. It is originally a French language publisher, but publishes many editions both in French and Dutch language, Dutch. Other language editions are mostly licensed to other publishers. Dupuis was for a long time a family business but was sold in the early 1980s and has since changed ownership a few times. ''The Smurfs'' (french: Les Schtroumpfs; Dutch: ''De Smurfen'') is a Belgian comic series, created by cartoonist Peyo (pen name of Pierre Culliford). The titular creatures were introduced as supporting characters in an already established series, ''Johan and Peewit'' in 1958, and starred in their own series from 1959. Thirty-nine ''Smurf'' comic albums have been created, 16 of them by Peyo. Pierre Culliford (; 25 June 1928 – 24 December 1992) was a Belgian comics writer and artist who worked under the pseudonym Peyo (). His best-known works are the comic book series ''The Smurfs'' and '' Johan and Peewit'', the latter in which the Smurfs first appeared. King Smurf
King Smurf (original French title: ''Le Schtroumpfissime'') is the second comic book adventure of the Smurfs, and the name of the main fictional character who assumes power in the absence of Papa Smurf. The story was written and drawn by Peyo with Yvan Delporte as co-writer. Publication history The adventure of King Smurf first started in '' Spirou'' magazine in 1964 as ''Le Schtroumpfissime'' (cf. ''illustrissimo'' — ''most illustrious'' — a term sometimes used to flatter European monarchs of the medieval and Renaissance period). ''The Egg and the Smurfs'' (original French title ''L'Œuf et les Schtroumpfs'') is the fourth album of the original French-language ''Smurfs'' comic series created by Belgian artist Peyo. Apart from the titular adventure, it contains two other stories: ''The Fake Smurf'' and ''The Hundredth Smurf''. Plots The Smurfs and the Egg The annual event known as Smurf Day is due and Papa Smurf suggests that they make a big cake to celebrate. ''The Smurfs'' (french: Les Schtroumpfs; nl, De Smurfen) is a Belgian comic franchise centered on a fictional colony of small, blue, humanoid creatures who live in mushroom-shaped houses in the forest. Gargamel
Gargamel is a fictional character and the main antagonist of the ''Smurfs'' show and comic books. He is a wizard and the sworn enemy of the Smurfs. His main goals are to destroy the Smurfs, eat them, or transform them into gold. Appearance and personality Gargamel is portrayed as perpetually stooped, with a worn and patched robe and rotten teeth. He lives in a run-down but solidly built hovel with his mangy cat, Azrael. He hates the Smurfs with extreme prejudice, though he will feign friendship with the Smurfs if there is something in it for him. Smurfette
Smurfette ( French: La Schtroumpfette) is one of the protagonists from the comic strip ''The Smurfs''. Smurfette was created by the evil wizard Gargamel, the Smurfs' archenemy, in order to spy on them and sow jealousy. However, she decides that she wants to be a real Smurf and Papa Smurf casts a spell that changes her hair from black to blonde as a sign of her transformation. She was the only female Smurf until the creation of Sassette. A Granny Smurf was also later introduced, although it is unclear how she was created.
