The Ska Vengers
The Ska Vengers is an Indian, New Delhi–based band that blends ska, dub, punk, jazz, and rap in their music, along with various experimental styles. The group consists of Stefan Kaye (keyboards, percussion, theremin, backing vocals), Delhi Sultanate (vocals), Begum X (vocals), The Late Nikhil Vasudevan (drums, backing vocals), Chaitanya "Chaz" Bhalla (guitars), and Tony Guinard (bass, backing vocals). History Self-titled debut album The Ska Vengers released their debut, self-titled album, in 2013, on Times Music. The first single, "Rough and Mean", explored the topic of misogyny in Indian society. Secret Garden Party
The Secret Garden Party, often colloquially shortened to the SGP, is an independent arts and music festival which takes place in Abbots Ripton near Huntingdon in England. This location is on part of the grounds of a Georgian farmhouse and has its own lakes, river and landscaped gardens. The festival was launched by Fred Fellowes and James Whewell in 2004 as an alternative to the established mainstream music festivals. Since its inception the festival has increased in popularity and size, and has grown from one stage and 300 visitors in 2002, to more than 15 stages and 35,000 revellers in 2017. Camp Bestival
Camp Bestival is a British music festival, the "little sister" of Bestival, both organised by BBC Radio 1 DJ Rob Da Bank. It is held annually, in July, at Lulworth Castle in Dorset and is targeted at families with small children. In 2019 it had a capacity of 10,000. It won the Best New Festival award from the UK Festival Awards in 2008 and Best Family Festival in 2009, 2010, 2013 and 2014. In 2018 Camp Bestival went into administration, leaving many workers unpaid. The Love Supreme Jazz Festival is a three-day greenfield music festival held annually on the first weekend of July in Glynde Place in the South Downs of East Sussex. WOMAD ( ; World of Music, Arts and Dance) is an international arts festival. The central aim of WOMAD is to celebrate the world's many forms of music, arts and dance.
