Overview Gerrard first met Cassidy in 2000 in Los Angeles (where he lives), when she came to work on the ''Gladiator'' soundtrack, and they planned to work together one day. When they eventually found a shared two-month break, they joined at Gerrard's Australian studio for this record.''Prefix Magazine'' review, op. cit. The W. B. Yeats poem "Sailing to Byzantium" inspired the track of the same name. Farscape (album)
''Farscape'' is the thirty-seventh album by Klaus Schulze. It was originally released in 2008, and, taking in consideration the previously released multi-disc box sets (''Silver Edition'', '' Historic Edition'', '' Jubilee Edition'', ''Contemporary Works I'', and '' Contemporary Works II''), it could be viewed as Schulze's ninety-eighth album. This is the first Schulze album with guest singer Lisa Gerrard. Overview Schulze explained the impetus for this album: "I have wanted to work with Lisa Gerrard since the days of ''Dead Can Dance'', but I never had an opportunity for such a collaboration. It's also not so easy to reach her on the phone." Reciprocally, Gerrard said: "I know Klaus Schulze since Tangerine Dream. He is amazing, I mean, his work is sympathetic to a soul journey and has been for such a period of time." Schulze prepared 300 minutes of music and scheduled 6 days with Gerrard for her to come to Hambühren: as Gerrard explained, "The important thing for me when I wo ...

AllMusic
AllMusic (previously known as All Music Guide and AMG) is an American online music database. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. Initiated in 1991, the database was first made available on the Internet in 1994. AllMusic is owned by RhythmOne. History AllMusic was launched as ''All Music Guide'' by Michael Erlewine, a "compulsive archivist, noted astrologer, Buddhist scholar and musician". He became interested in using computers for his astrological work in the mid-1970s and founded a software company, Matrix, in 1977. In the early 1990s, as CDs replaced LPs as the dominant format for recorded music, Erlewine purchased what he thought was a CD of early recordings by Little Richard. After buying it he discovered it was a "flaccid latter-day rehash". Frustrated with the labeling, he researched using metadata to create a music guide. In 1990, in Big Rapids, Michigan, he founded ''All Music Guide' ...

They say that this place is like a mirror of the world we live in, ..With the best music, you don't find the composer or the musicians within the work, you find yourself, your own feelings."Ken Bogle, October 19, 1995: "Dancing Alone: Lisa Gerrard talks about her new album", ''The Daily of the University of Washington''online archive. Australian Music Prize
The Australian Music Prize (often shortened to the AMP) is an annual award of $30,000 given to an Australian band or solo artist in recognition of the merit of an album released during the year of award. The award was made by Australian Music Prize Ltd, a sole-purpose entity sponsored by a variety of music industry figures and record companies. The AMP was established in 2005. Unlike the more mainstream ARIA Music Awards, the AMP aims to encourage Australian music of excellence – the prize's stated aim is to "financially reward and increase exposure for an Australian artist (or group of artists) who have produced and commercially released what specially appointed judges vote is the best contemporary music album in any one calendar year". In this sense, the AMP is broadly comparable to the UK's Mercury Music Prize. The prize typically launches at the start of October each year and accepts entries (must be new Australian artist albums commercially released in that year) in Octobe ...
