The Shiny Shrimps
''The Shiny Shrimps'' (french: Les Crevettes pailletées) is a 2019 French sports comedy film directed by Cédric Le Gallo and Maxime Govare. The film stars Nicolas Gob as Matthias Le Goff, an Olympic swimming champion who makes a homophobic comment in a television interview, and is disciplined by the national swim team with the responsibility of coaching a gay water polo team who aspire to compete in the Gay Games. The film premiered at the L'Alpe d'Huez Film Festival on 19 January 2019, and was released theatrically in France on 8 May 2019. A sequel, ''The Revenge of the Shiny Shrimps'' (french: La Revanche des Crevettes pailletées, links=no), was released on 13 April 2022. Synopsis Mathias Le Goff is a world vice-champion swimmer. Nicolas Gob (born 29 October 1982) is a Belgian actor who has worked extensively in television, both in serials and films made for TV. He has also appeared in several feature films. Rotten Tomatoes is an American review-aggregation website for film and television. The company was launched in August 1998 by three undergraduate students at the University of California, Berkeley: Senh Duong, Patrick Y. Lee, and Stephen Wang. Kyiv International Film Festival "Molodist", also known as the Molodist International Film Festival ( uk, Київський Міжнародний Кінофестиваль "Молодість") is an international film festival which takes place every October in Kyiv, Ukraine. It began in 1970 as a two-day festival of films, shot by students of Kyiv State Institute of Theatrical Arts, presenting 33 movies that year. In 2010, there were 439 films presented, making it the biggest film festival in Ukraine, with an audience of 127,000. The president of the festival is Andrii Khalpakhchi (Андрій Халпахчі).
