The Seven Headed Lion
''The Lion Has Seven Heads'' (original title:''Der Leone Have Sept Cabeças'') is a 1970 French-Italian-Brazilian film directed by Glauber Rocha. It was shot on location in Brazzaville, the Congo during the time Rocha was exiled. Plot In the late 1960s, a white preacher in Africa announces the world is due to end soon as he has captured an emissary of the devil. Rather than an emissary, the man is a Latin American revolutionary who supports the local liberation movement. The man escapes from the preacher and contacts a local liberation leader and offers him assistance in the local's fight against Imperialism. Glauber Rocha
Glauber de Andrade Rocha (; 14 March 1939 – 22 August 1981) was a Brazilian film director, actor and screenwriter. He was one of the most influential moviemakers of Brazilian cinema and a key figure of Cinema Novo. His films ''Black God, White Devil'' and ''Entranced Earth'' are often considered to be two of the greatest achievements in Brazilian cinematic history, being selected by Abraccine Top 100 Brazilian films, Abraccine as, respectively, the second and fifth best Brazilian films of all-time. Rocha also the distinction of having the most films on Abraccine's list: 5 films. Rocha's film possess a staunch avant-garde and experimental nature, making of him a seminal figure of the Cinema Novo, new wave. Rada Rassimov (born Rada Đerasimović (Serbian Cyrillic: Рада Ђерасимовић) on 3 March 1941 in Trieste, Italy) is an Italian actress of Serb origin, who has appeared in film since the early 1960s and television since 1975. Biography Born to Serbian parents, Velimir and Vera (née Petrijević) Đerasimović, she attended, along with her two brothers, the Serbian Jovan Miletić Grammar School in Trieste where her father was the dean and teacher since 1927. Later, she went to university and took acting classes with her brother Ivan in Rome. Her career was at its peak in the 1960s and 1970s although she has appeared in film as recently as 2003. She is perhaps best known in world cinema for her appearance in Sergio Leone's Spaghetti Western ''The Good, the Bad and the Ugly'' in 1966 in which she played the role of María, beaten by Lee Van Cleef's character, mercenary "Angel Eyes".
