The Scary Guy (sometimes stylized THE SCARY GUY) (born ) is a United Kingdom-based American motivational speaker who campaigns worldwide to eliminate hate, violence, prejudice, and bullying in schools and corporations. In addition to being a tattoo shop owner, comic, entertainer, inspirational speaker, and performance artist, The Scary Guy has pierced nose, eyebrows, and ears and covers over 85 percent of his body with tattoos. Early life The Scary Guy was born on December 29, 1953, as Earl Kenneth Kaufmann, to his father, Carroll August Kaufmann, and his mother Constance Joan Buckingham. Growing up in New Hope, Minnesota, The Scary Guy graduated in 1972 from Cooper Senior High School and excelled as a voice major at Macalester College, in Saint Paul. New Hope is a city in Hennepin County, Minnesota, United States and a suburb of Minneapolis. The population was 20,339 at the 2010 census and 20,907 at the 2019 estimate. History New Hope was originally a farming community called Hope in Crystal Lake Township. Teachers TV was a UK government–funded website and former free-to-air distance education television channel which operated from 2005–2011. The website provided video and support materials for those who work in education, including teachers, school leaders, governors, teacher trainers, student teachers and support staff. Its original aims included raising educational standards, saving the workforce time, and boosting professional development. All content was available to watch or download for free. Arte (; (), sometimes stylized in lowercase or uppercase in its logo) is a European public service channel dedicated to culture. It is made up of three separate companies: the Strasbourg-based European Economic Interest Grouping ARTE, plus two member companies acting as editorial and programme production centres, ARTE France in Paris (formerly known as La Sept) and ARTE Deutschland in Baden-Baden (a subsidiary of the two main public German TV networks ARD and ZDF).
