The Samaritans Hong Kong (Chinese language, Chinese: 撒瑪利亞會) is a free 24-hour multilingual suicide prevention emotional support hotline, hotline in Hong Kong. Crisis Hotline
A crisis hotline is a phone number people can call to get immediate emergency telephone counseling, usually by trained volunteers. The first such service was founded in England in 1951 and such hotlines have existed in most major cities of the English speaking world at least since the mid-1970s. Initially set up to help those contemplating suicide, many have expanded their mandate to deal more generally with emotional crises. KELY Support Group (commonly known as KELY; ) is a non-governmental bilingual organisation in Hong Kong which aims to provide support to youth between the ages of 14 and 24. Its programmes and services focus on prevention and intervention of alcoholism and other drug abuse, and are designed to tackle what the group regards as the common reasons for abuse such as boredom, peer pressure, lack of self-awareness, low self-esteem, poverty, unemployment and discrimination. Chai Wan
Chai Wan (; ), formerly known as Sai Wan (西灣), lies at the east end of the urban area of Hong Kong Island next to Shau Kei Wan. The area is administratively part of the Eastern District, and is a mosaic of industrial and residential areas. The population was 186,505 in 2001. The Samaritan Befrienders Hong Kong
The Samaritan Befrienders Hong Kong (SBHK) ( Chinese: 香港撒瑪利亞防止自殺會) is a non-government organisation. It is a local voluntary agency which provides counselling services to people with suicidal tendencies or behaviour. This organisation was the first of its kind in Asia. There are three centres under The Samaritan Befrienders Hong Kong: the 24-hour Hotline Centre (TOUCH), the Life Education Center (GROW), and the Suicide Crisis Intervention Center (ALIVE). Lok Fu Estate () is a public housing estate in Lok Fu, Wong Tai Sin District, Kowloon, Hong Kong, near Lok Fu station on the MTR. Hong Keung Court () is a Home Ownership Scheme court near Lok Tung House, Lok Fu Estate. It has one block built in 1999. History Lok Fu Estate was formerly the Lo Fu Ngam Resettlement Area () and has a total of 23 blocks, 12 Mark I type and 11 Mark II type, built in 1957. As local residents found the name Lo Fu Ngam (Tiger Hill) inauspicious, the settlement was later renamed to Lok Fu (happy and prosperous).
