The Salmon Dance
"The Salmon Dance" is a song by English electronic music duo the Chemical Brothers and is the seventh track on their 2007 studio album '' We Are the Night''. It features vocals by Fatlip and was released as the second single from the album on 10 September 2007. The video, directed by Dom and Nic, features a boy (played by British actor Rory Jennings) looking at his fish tank, which is home to Fatlip the Piranha, his friend "Sammy the Salmon" (actually a squirrel fish), Puffa the beatboxing pufferfish, a lionfish, and various other tropical fish such as seahorses, butterflyfish, angelfish and tangs. It is featured in season three, episode three " The Black Clock of Time" of '' Bored to Death''. The single has reached number 10 on the New Zealand RIANZ Singles Chart, mainly due to downloads and airplay. The Chemical Brothers
The Chemical Brothers are an English electronic music duo formed by Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons in Manchester in 1989. They were pioneers (along with the Prodigy, Fatboy Slim, the Crystal Method, and other acts) in bringing the big beat genre to the forefront of pop culture. After attracting Virgin Records, the duo achieved further success with second album ''Dig Your Own Hole'' (1997), which topped the UK Albums Chart, UK charts. In the UK, they have had six No. 1 albums and 13 top-20 singles, including two chart-toppers. Pomacanthidae
Marine angelfish are perciform fish of the family Pomacanthidae. They are found on shallow reefs in the tropical Atlantic, Indian, and mostly western Pacific Oceans. The family contains seven genera and about 86 species. They should not be confused with the freshwater angelfish, tropical cichlids of the Amazon Basin. Hervé (DJ)
Joshua Harvey, otherwise known as Hervé , is a producer/ DJ from the UK. Hervé is known for bass-orientated as well as eclectic productions and DJ sets. He also runs the label Cheap Thrills, which has released music by Fake Blood, Jack Beats, Lone and Project Bassline, amongst others. Career In 2001, together with SEBA, Joshua (then Josh) produced the song "Diamond" for the film '' Snatch'' along with an album under the name ''Klint''. Along with Sinden and Kid Sister, his track " Beeper" reached number 1 on the UK Dance Chart in July 2008. Hervé and Sinden released their album ''Mega Mega Mega'' under the name the Count & Sinden in 2010 on Domino Records. Crookers
Crookers is the musical project of Italian DJ and producer Francesco "Phra" Barbaglia. Crookers was originally a duo consisting of Phra and fellow producer Bot, who worked together from 2003 to 2012. When the two artists met, both were trying to branch out of their genre and explore dance music. Their first collaboration worked. Phra said, "It felt natural to team up, seeing that we had the same musical tastes... which isn't that easy here in Milan." On October 19, 2012, it was announced that Bot had left the group to pursue a new direction and that Phra would carry on the Crookers name as a solo project. Since then, Phra has produced the song "Ghetto Guetta" under the Crookers alias; the song was published on Phra's own label Ciao Recs under licence to the Be Yourself Catalog as well as Owsla.
