The Ruins Of Beverast
The Ruins of Beverast is a German blackened doom metal project formed by Alexander von Meilenwald in 2003. Six albums have been released under the moniker through Ván Records.The Ruins of Beverast - Exuvia Metal Hammer, 5 May 2017 Since 2013, von Meilenwald has also performed live with an expanded line-up under the band's name. Apart from occasional appearances by session musicians, he continues to perform all instruments and vocals on the band's studio material. '' Der Spiegel'' called the third album ''Foulest Semen of a Sheltered Elite'' a "highly complex" album and rated it 8 out of 10. The album ''Exuvia'' was released in 2017. Ván Records
Ván Records is a German record label based in Herzogenrath. It was founded in 2004 by Sven Dinninghoff, who was a member of Black Metal bands Nagelfar and Graupel in the mid-1990s. The label was founded in the environment of Wòd-Ván, an association of Black Metal fans near Aachen, which was founded by Dinninghoff and other members of Nagelfar. Under contract are mainly German and Dutch bands, but also American bands like Škan or Svartidauði from Iceland. History The label's first release was the album ''Unlock the Shrine'' by The Ruins of Beverast. Alexander Von Meilenwald
Alexander von Meilenwald is a German multi-instrumentalist and vocalist known for his former band Nagelfar and his project The Ruins of Beverast. At the age of 15, Meilenwald read an interview with Darkthrone member Nocturno Culto which fascinated him, after he had realised the supposedly extreme band Cannibal Corpse were "just normal metalheads". He then bought Darkthrone's ''A Blaze in the Northern Sky'' and believed "that this must be music made by deranged people".
