The soundtrack to ''The Royal Tenenbaums'' features a score composed by Mark Mothersbaugh. Also featured are a variety of rock songs from the 1960s through 1990s. There have been two soundtrack album releases for ''The Royal Tenenbaums''. The first, in 2001, omitted some songs; notably, Paul Simon's "Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard," Van Morrison's " Everyone," John Lennon's " Look at Me," the Mutato Muzika Orchestra's version of the Beatles' "Hey Jude," two tracks by the Rolling Stones ("She Smiled Sweetly" and " Ruby Tuesday"), and Erik Satie's " Gymnopédie no. 1". In 2002, the soundtrack was re-released with three songs not found on the 2001 release, but the two songs by the Rolling Stones were not included, because, while the band allows their music to be used in films, they rarely allow the songs to appear on soundtracks. ''The Royal Tenenbaums'' is a 2001 American comedy-drama film directed by Wes Anderson and co-written with Owen Wilson. The Clash
The Clash were an English rock band formed in London in 1976 who were key players in the original wave of British punk rock. Billed as "The Only Band That Matters", they also contributed to the and new wave movements that emerged in the wake of punk and employed elements of a variety of genres including reggae, dub, funk, ska, and rockabilly. For most of their recording career, the Clash consisted of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Joe Strummer, lead guitarist and vocalist Mick Jones, bassist Paul Simonon, and drummer Nicky "Topper" Headon. Emitt Lynn Rhodes (February 25, 1950 – July 19, 2020) was an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and recording engineer. At 14 years, Rhodes began his career in musical ensembles the Palace Guard as the group's drummer before joining the Merry-Go-Round as a multi-instrumentalist. He has been called the "One-Man Beatles" due to the style and skill of his songwriting and instrumentation. As a member of the Merry-Go-Round, Rhodes wrote or co-wrote eleven of the twelve songs on the band's eponymous first and only album, released in 1967. Over the next two years, Rhodes wrote and recorded several songs in order to fulfill a contractual obligation the band had with A&M Records. "Wigwam" is a song by Bob Dylan that was released on his 1970 album ''Self Portrait''. It was a hit single that reached the Top 10 in several countries worldwide. The Ysaÿe Quartet (Quatuor Ysaÿe) was a French string quartet that was founded in 1984 by students at the Conservatoire de Paris named after the original Ysaÿe Quartet. It ended its existence in January 2014. String Quartet (Ravel)
Maurice Ravel completed his String Quartet in F major in early April 1903 at the age of 28. It was premiered in Paris in March the following year. The work follows a four-movement classical structure: the opening movement, in sonata form, presents two themes that occur again later in the work; a playful scherzo second movement is followed by a lyrical slow movement. The finale reintroduces themes from the earlier movements and ends the work vigorously. These Days (Jackson Browne Song)
"These Days" is a song written by Jackson Browne and recorded by numerous artists. Browne wrote the song at age 16; its lyrics deal with loss and regret. It was first recorded by Nico in 1967 for her album '' Chelsea Girl'', and Nico's arrangement was recorded by several other artists. Tom Rush recorded the tune with a string arrangement for his album ''Tom Rush'' in 1970. Maurice Ravel
Joseph Maurice Ravel (7 March 1875 – 28 December 1937) was a French composer, pianist and conductor.
