''The Rose Tint'' is the second solo studio album by New Zealand rapper David Dallas. It was released as a free download on 11 May 2011 through Dawn Raid Entertainment/ Dirty Management/ Duck Down Music. Production was handled by Fire & Ice, Dan "Exile" Mawby, Nick "41" Maclaren, P-Money and M-Phazes. It features guest appearances from Che Fu, Freddie Gibbs, Jordache, Pieter T, PNC and Buckshot. The album peaked at number 3 on the Official New Zealand Music Chart. Due to the album, Dallas won 'Best Pacific Male Artist' at the 2012 Pacific Music Awards. Che Fu
Che Kuo Eruera Ness (born 1974), better known by his stage name Che Fu, is a New Zealand hip hop, R&B and reggae artist, songwriter and producer. A founding member of the band Supergroove, as a solo artist he has gone on to sell thousands of albums both in New Zealand and internationally. Che Fu is considered a pioneer of Hip hop and Pasifika music in New Zealand. Early life Che Fu was born Che Ness in Auckland. His mother, Miriama Rauhihi Ness is of Māori descent and his father Tigilau Ness is Niuean. Taite Music Prize
The Taite Music Prize is an annual New Zealand music award event. It features the same-named prize awarded for the best album from New Zealand. The prize is named after respected New Zealand music journalist and broadcaster Dylan Taite, who died in 2003. The Taite Music Prize was established in 2009 in his honour by Independent Music New Zealand (IMNZ) in conjunction with the Taite family. The first prize was awarded in 2010. The Pacific Music Awards are an annual New Zealand music award ceremony since 2005 that honours excellence in Pacific music in New Zealand. The Official New Zealand Music Chart ( mi, Te Papa Tātai Waiata Matua o Aotearoa) is the weekly New Zealand top 40 singles and albums charts, issued weekly by Recorded Music NZ (formerly Recording Industry Association of New Zealand). The Music Chart also includes the top-20 New Zealand artist singles and albums and top 10 compilation albums.
