The Rockers (ザ・ロッカーズ, Rokkazu, stylized as TH eROCKERS) were a Japanese punk band formed in 1976 in Hakata, North Kyushu, a five-piece band which recorded three albums between 1980 and 1982 (''Who'', ''Come On'', and ''Shakin'') under Canyon Records. Mentai Rock
is the name given to the collection of Japanese artists who gained national popularity during the late 1970s. Continuing through the early 1980s, the collective had little in common other than their origin - the Hakata ward of Fukuoka City. The phrase, Mentai Rock, was derived from the name of a local delicacy, mentaiko, made from roe. Many believed that their origin also had a common influence on the overall sound, despite the wide variety of genres represented. is a Japanese actor, film director, and singer. He was born August 12, 1958 in Okawa, Fukuoka. Shunsuke Nakamura
is a Japanese former professional footballer. He is the only person to have been named J.League Most Valuable Player more than once, receiving the award in 2000 and 2013. Burst City
is a Japanese dystopian punk rock musical / action film. Released in 1982, the film was directed by Gakuryū Ishii. Primarily a showcase for various specific punk rock bands of the time such as The Roosters, The Rockers, and The Stalin, the film is also purely demonstrative of the culture and attitude of the punk rock community of Japan in the mid-to-late 1970s and the early 1980s, and is considered a defining film of that subculture. is a Japanese actor, film director and musician. After leaving Dokkyo University without graduating, he started to earn his living as an illustrator, writer and pornographic cartoonist.
