''RocKwiz Christmas Album'' is a compilation album of songs recorded for Rockwiz Christmas specials at the Palais Theatre in 2007 and 2009. It was released on vinyl and cd. Reception Sally Browne of the Sunday Mail wrote "With loads more cool Yule songs to unwrap, there's plenty here to make you say 'Christmas rocks!' and not 'Bah humbug!'." The Age's Michael Dwyer gave it 3½ stars saying "RocKwiz presses its real-deal difference with this gritty cull from two past Christmases at the Palais." Liam Finn
Liam Mullane Finn (born 24 September 1983) is a New Zealand singer and musician. Born in Melbourne, Australia, he moved to New Zealand as a child. He is the son of musicians Sharon and Neil Finn. In 2020, he joined his father's band, Crowded House. Personal life Finn married his long-term partner Janina Percival in June 2015. Career Live shows In 2008 and 2009 Finn opened for Eddie Vedder's solo tour throughout America. Finn also headlined his first North American tour and headed out on the road with The Black Keys in November 2008 in the UK and Europe. Dan Kelly (musician)
Daniel O Kelly (born Daniel Kelly; 1974), known as Dan Kelly, is an Australian singer-songwriter and guitarist. He has released music as part of Dan Kelly and the Alpha Males. Biography 1974–1999: Early Years Dan Kelly grew up in Queensland, on the Gold Coast, attended a Catholic school, in Beenleigh, and was the second oldest of six children. He learnt the guitar at thirteen and later studied Environmental Science at Griffith University in Brisbane. He formed his first band, Nord, in Brisbane before moving to Melbourne in 1996. Toby Martin
Toby Martin (born 5 August 1975), is an Australian singer-songwriter, musician, academic, and lecturer at University of Huddersfield UK. Martin is the grandson of Hungarian-born Australian poet David Martin and has a PhD in the history of Australian music from the University of Sydney. After fronting Sydney-based band Youth Group from 1996 to 2009, Martin developed his solo career, releasing his first album, ''Love's Shadow'' in 2012. Martin's PhD thesis, published in 2012, is titled "Yodelling boundary riders : country music in Australia, 1936–2010". Holiday Sidewinder Carmen-Sparks is an Australian-born indie pop singer-songwriter, musician and record producer. She was the founding lead singer of Bridezilla (2005–13). After that group disbanded Sidewinder relocated to England to start her solo career. Her debut album, ''Forever or Whatever'', appeared in October 2019. Glenn Anthony Richards (born 29 December 1973) is an Australian musician, best known as the mainstay guitarist singer-songwriter for the Australian rock band Augie March. Early life Richards was born in Shepparton, Victoria on 29 December 1973. Richards saved up enough money to buy his first guitar by working long hours on the docks in Fremantle, Western Australia. With Augie March Richards joined Augie March in August 1995, playing his first gig with them five years later. Bill Chambers (musician)
Bill Chambers is an Australian country musician and former member of the Dead Ringer Band. Chambers's albums ''Sleeping with the Blues'' and ''Cold Trail'' were nominated for the ARIA Award for Best Country Album. He is best known as being the father of Kasey Chambers. He lives in Ourimbah, NSW Central Coast. Career Bill Chambers was born in Southend, South Australia and married his wife Diane at age 20. Together they had two children, Nash in 1974 and Kasey in 1976. Shortly after the birth of Kasey in 1976, Chambers moved his family to central Australia's Nullarbor Plain and earned a living by hunting and trapping rabbits and foxes that raided Nullarbor poultry farms, then selling the pelts. Kasey Chambers
Kasey Chambers (born 4 June 1976) is an Australian country singer-songwriter and musician born in Mount Gambier. She is the daughter of fellow musicians, Diane and Bill Chambers, and the younger sister of musician and producer, Nash Chambers. All four were members of family country music group in Dead Ringer Band, in Bowral, New South Wales, from 1992 to 1998, with Chambers starting her solo career thereafter. Adalita Srsen (, born 25 February 1971) is an Australian rock musician who is a founding member of the rock band Magic Dirt and a solo artist. She released her first solo album, ''Adalita'' in 2011 and her second solo album, ''All Day Venus'', in September 2013. She is known simply as Adalita. "2000 Miles" is a song by British-American rock band Pretenders. Written by lead singer Chrissie Hynde and produced by Chris Thomas, it was released on 18 November 1983 as the second single from their third studio album, ''Learning to Crawl'' (1984).
