Oriel Gray
Oriel Holland Bennett (26 March 1920 – 30 June 2003) known by pen name Oriel Gray, was an Australian dramatist, playwright and screenwriter who wrote from the 1940s to 1990s. The major themes of her work were gender equality and "social and political issues such as the environment, Aborigines, assimilation and bush life". Early life Gray was born ''Oriel Holland Bennett'' in Sydney, New South Wales. Her father and grandfather owned a newspaper in Young, New South Wales. With the death of her mother in 1926, her older sister Grayce became the guiding female presence of her formative years. Christopher Muir
} Christopher Muir (1931 - 2022) was an Australian director and producer, notable for his work in TV in the 1950s and 1960s. In the 1980s he was head of ABC Television drama. Biography Most of his early childhood was spent in France, but he returned to Melbourne upon the outbreak of World War II. He joined the ABC in 1949 at the recommendation of his headmaster upon completing his schooling at Melbourne Grammar School. Initially working as a messenger boy, he soon became a general trainee, and by 1954 he was a radio announcer. In 1955 the ABC seconded him to Paris to study television. He returned to Melbourne for the inauguration of ABC television in 1956. The ensuing decade saw him become a pioneer of television drama and music productions, often screened live-to-air during prime time on the ABC. Patricia Kennedy (actress)
Patricia Carmel Stewart Kennedy (17 March 191610 December 2012) was an Australian actress with a long career in theatre, radio, film and television. According to one writer she was "sometimes called the first lady of Melbourne radio and theatre." Early life Kennedy was born in Queenscliff, Victoria on St Patrick's Day, 1916. (Many sources give her year of birth as 1917.) She was raised, and remained, a practising Catholic. She trained as a school teacher before winning the Colac Amateur Festival around 1938, which sparked a passion for acting. She started her stage career in 1943. In 1972–1973 she worked as a consultant to the Australia Council for the Arts. Frederick Henry Parslow (14 August 1932 – 26 January 2017) was an Australian actor, who appeared in film, television and theatre. Michael Duffield
Michael Duffield (1915 – June 1986) was an English-born character actor who worked in Australia for many decades. He was nominated for the 1979 AACTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his role in ''The Last of the Knucklemen'', a role he was reprising from the original stage production. Duffield was also a prominent theatre actor, starting from 1950, with numerous career characters with the Melbourne Theatre Company, he won awards in 1962 for his performance on stage in ''The Caretaker'' and also was notable for playing. George Whaley (19 June 1934 – 6 August 2019) was an Australian actor, director and writer, known for his work across theatre and film. He was born in Castlemaine, Victoria, Australia.
