Rivalry
A rivalry is the state of two people or groups engaging in a lasting competitive relationship. Rivalry is the "against each other" spirit between two competing sides. The relationship itself may also be called "a rivalry", and each participant or side a rival to the other. Someone's main rival may be called an archrival. A rivalry can be defined as "a perceptual categorizing process in which actors identify which states are sufficiently threatening competitors". In order for the rivalry to persist, rather than resulting in perpetual dominance by one side, it must be "a competitive relationship among equals". Political scientist John A. Vasquez has asserted that equality of power is a necessary component for a true rivalry to exist, but others have disputed that element. Rivalries traverse many different fields within society and "abound at all levels of human interaction", often existing between friends, firms, sports teams, schools, and universities. Moreover, "families, politi ...

Binaural (album)
''Binaural'' is the sixth studio album by American rock band Pearl Jam, released May 16, 2000, through Epic Records. Following a full-scale tour in support of its previous album, '' Yield'' (1998), Pearl Jam took a short break before reconvening toward the end of 1999 to begin work on a new album. The music on the album featured an experimental sound, evident on songs that used binaural recording techniques. The atmospheric tracks, mostly featuring somber lyrics dealing with social criticism, led the band to convey these themes with images of nebulas in the album artwork. 2nd Best To None
"2nd Best to None" is a song written by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus - former members of pop group ABBA. The song is performed by the staff of Andersson's Stockholm hotel, Rival, going under the name The Rivals. Originally, the song was intended to be a jingle for the hotel's website, but has since become full-length with a promotional video featuring the staff. Commenting on the song, Andersson stated that he came up with the idea at the hotel's fifth anniversary in September 2008 and was aware that a number of the staff were amateur singers and was satisfied that they could record a song together. He then asked Ulvaeus to come up with some lyrics. The song was released as a single on 6 May 2009. It came just as Andersson released an international album, ''Story of a Heart (album), Story of a Heart'', with the title track as the lead single. "2nd Best to None" reached No.54 in the Swedish charts. References External links Official Rival Hotel site
