The Rights Workshop is a music supervision group based in the Presidio Film Center in San Francisco, California. Formed in 2002 by Billboard Award-winning producer, author and former ESPN Music Director Brooke Wentz, The Rights Workshop programs music and negotiates clearances and licensing rights for producers and directors of independent film, television, advertising, new media, games, apps, as well as services for corporate marketing. Brooke Wentz
Brooke Wentz is an American record producer and music director. She has served as a music director for ESPN. She was also the recipient of the Billboard Music Award for the best world music album in 1994, ''Global Meditation - Authentic Music from Meditative Traditions of the World''. Education Wentz graduated ''magna cum laude'' from Barnard College. She also graduated with an M.B.A. from Columbia University. Career Wentz began her career in the 1980s as a public radio host for stations such as New York's WKCR-FM, where she hosted the music program ''Transfigured Night''. She eventually became new music director of WKCR. After her career in public radio, Wentz served as Manager of A&R Administration at Arista Records. While visiting the FESPACO Film Festival in Burkina Faso, Wentz was an eyewitness to the events of the 1991 Malian coup d'etat alongside Malian musician Salif Keita. Chris Watson (musician)
Christopher Richard Watson (born 1952) is an English musician and sound recordist specialising in natural history. He was a founding member of the musical group Cabaret Voltaire, and Watson's work as a wildlife sound recordist has covered television documentaries and experimental musical collaborations. Music Watson was a founding member of two experimental music groups, Cabaret Voltaire and The Hafler Trio. Carl Michael Von Hausswolff
Carl Michael von Hausswolff (born 1956) is a composer, visual artist, and curator based in Stockholm, Sweden. His main tools are recording devices (camera, tape deck, radar, sonar) used in an ongoing investigation of electricity, frequency, architectural space, and paranormal electronic interference. Major exhibitions include Manifesta (1996), documenta X (1997), the Johannesburg Biennial (1997), Sound Art - Sound as Media at ICC in Tokyo (2000), the Venice Biennale (2001, 2003, and 2005), and Portikus, Frankfurt (2004). Peter Rehberg
Peter Rehberg (29 June 1968 – 22 July 2021), also known as Pita, was a British-Austrian composer of electronic audio works. He was the head of Editions Mego, which he founded in 2006 as a successor to Mego. Early life Rehberg was born in Tottenham on 29 June 1968. He grew up in Hertfordshire, before relocating to Austria, his father's country of origin. Career Rehberg became associated with Mego in the latter part of 1994. He consequently released his first single early the following year, which was also the first release in the record label's catalogue. He followed this up with his debut album titled ''Seven Tons for Free'' in 1996, released under the name Pita. Rosy Parlane
Rosy Parlane, also known as Paul Douglas, is an electronic musician from New Zealand who currently lives in Auckland, New Zealand. He was in the New Zealand trio Thela, then went on a solo career, as well as co-founding the Sigma Editions record label. He also played in the bands Empirical, Parmentier, Pit Viper, Plains, Rosenberg, Sakada, Codhaven and Amazing Broccoli. Benny Jonas Nilsen (born 1975), alias BJ Nilsen, BJNilsen, and Hazard, is a Swedish sound artist based in Amsterdam. His work primarily focuses on the sounds of nature and how they affect humans.
