''The Reverend Turns a Blind Eye'' (german: Hochwürden drückt ein Auge zu) is a 1971 West German comedy film directed by Harald Vock and starring Roy Black, Uschi Glas and Georg Thomalla.Bock & Bergfelder p.269 It was followed by a 1972 sequel ''Always Trouble with the Reverend''. It was partly shot on location around Lake Wörthersee in the Austrian state of Carinthia. Harald Vock
Harald Vock (1925 – 1998) was a German television producer and television director. While he mainly worked in television, he also directed or scripted a handful of feature films for cinema such as '' Our Doctor is the Best'' in 1969. Vock began after 1945 as a police reporter at the press and radio. From 1955 until the 1980s he acted as a conversation leader of NDR television. Here he was the founder of television shows music from Studio B. He also wrote scripts and radio plays. Around 1970 he led several times directed in film comedies of the producer Karl Spiehs. He participated as an idea of the author, director, and producer at the emergence of the crime series Special Discussion K1 and the men of K3. For the latter, Vock received the acidic cucumber of the media women's meeting in 1994. Rudi Carrell
Rudi Carrell (born Rudolf Wijbrand Kesselaar; 19 December 1934 – 7 July 2006) was a Dutch entertainer. Along with famous entertainers such as Johannes Heesters and Linda de Mol, he was one of the most successful Dutch personalities active in Germany. He worked as a television entertainer and hosted his own show; the ''Rudi Carrell Show'' ran first in the Netherlands, and then for many years in Germany. As a singer he had a number of hits, including a Dutch version of "A Windmill in Old Amsterdam", and acted in several movies. ''Eurovision Song Contest'' Carrell represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest 1960 with the song "Wat een geluk" ("What luck"). He finished 12th out of 13, scoring just two points.
