Jack Mower
Jack Mower (September 5, 1890 – January 6, 1965) was an American film actor. He appeared in more than 520 films between 1914 and 1965. He was born in Honolulu and died in Hollywood. After studying at Punahou College, in Honolulu, Mower moved to the mainland, and performed in vaudeville and in musical comedies on stage. His work on screen included serials and silent films. Mower was a leading man in silent films, but played bit parts after sound films came into vogue. Harry Semels (November 20, 1887 – March 2, 1946) was an American film actor. He appeared in over 315 film between 1917 and 1946. Career Semels appeared in his first film in 1917. He began to achieve fame after arriving at Columbia Pictures, appearing in several Three Stooges shorts including '' Disorder in the Court'', '' Wee Wee Monsieur'' and '' Three Little Sew and Sews''. He also appeared in feature films like '' Road to Morocco'', '' The Princess and the Pirate'' and '' The Kid from Brooklyn''. A versatile character actor, Semels often appeared as villains, waiters, soldiers, lawyers, et al. Personal life Semels was Jewish and had two children, Ruth and David, who was killed in action during World War II. Death Semels died of a heart attack on March 2, 1946, in Hollywood, California. He was noted for his tall stature. Biography Sears was born in San Antonio, Texas, to Harry Sears and Alice Gould. He started acting on camera around 1914, after getting his start on the stage in theater and as an opera singer. In Hollywood, appeared in a number of D. W. Griffith's films alongside actress Mary Miles Minter. He took some time away from Hollywood to recuperate from an illness in the early 1920s, returning a few years later to play character roles. He died in Los Angeles in 1942, and was survived by his daughter, Zaida. John Franklin Sheridan (June 11, 1869 – November 24, 1943) was an American actor of the silent and early sound film eras. Biography Born in Boston, he began acting later in life, at the age of 46, and had several leading roles. As time went on, he segued into the character actor role and continued working right into his 70s. Although mostly in smaller roles, he continued to enjoy featured roles occasionally throughout the 1930s, as in his role of Sam Stubener in the 1936 film ''Conflict'', which starred John Wayne. In 1926, Sheridan married Catherine T. McNulty, who died in 1943. Later that same year, he married Edna M Carroll and they had one child. Frank Sheridan died on November 24, 1943, in Hollywood, aged 74.
