The Return Of Superfly
''The Return of Superfly'' is a 1990 American crime drama film directed by Sig Shore. The film is a sequel to the 1973 film ''Super Fly T.N.T.''. It stars Nathan Purdee as Youngblood Priest (replacing Ron O'Neal from the two previous films) and Margaret Avery. In the film, Priest returns to New York from Paris to find who is responsible for his friend's murder. With a couple of new friends, he attempts to bring the killers to justice while trying not to get into criminal activity like he did years ago. Plot Joey Maxwell, Manuel, and Reynaldo invade a New York City drug den in Harlem, killing three dealers. One escapes long enough to telephone his boss, Eddie Baker, but Eddie is having sex and is too intoxicated on drugs to respond. The three killers break into Eddie's apartment and murder him and his girl friend. Sig Shore
Sig Shore (May 13, 1919 – August 17, 2006) was an American film director and producer. His 1972 film '' Super Fly'' is considered one of the first blaxploitation films. Biography Shore was born in Harlem, New York and grew up in The Bronx. He attended George Washington University on a basketball scholarship, but left school during World War II to serve in the United States Army Air Force, rising to the rank of first lieutenant. After the war he worked as an advertising director for ''Dance'' magazine. Shore got his start in the film industry importing dubbed foreign films. One of these films, ''Ilya Muromets'' (retitled ''The Sword and the Dragon''), was mocked in a 1994 episode of ''Mystery Science Theater 3000''. Other foreign titles that Shore imported include ''Black Jesus'', ''The 400 Blows'', and ''Hiroshima Mon Amour''. John Gabriel (actor)
John Gabriel (born Jack Monkarsh; May 25, 1931 – June 11, 2021) was an American actor, singer-lyricist, and producer who is best known for his role as Seneca Beaulac on ''Ryan's Hope'' (1975–1985, 1988–1989), for which he received an Emmy Award nomination in 1980. Gabriel, who played the Professor in the original, unaired ''Gilligan's Island'' pilot, was the father of actress Andrea Gabriel.
