The Republicans (french: Les Républicains, ; LR) is a liberal-conservative political party in France, largely inspired by the Gaullist tradition. It holds Pro-Europeanism, pro-European views. The party was formed on 30 May 2015 from the renaming and refoundation of the Union for a Popular Movement (UMP), which had been established in 2002 under the leadership of then President of France Jacques Chirac. The Republicans (german: Die Republikaner, REP) is a national conservative political party in Germany. The primary plank of the programme is opposition to immigration. The party tends to attract protest voters who think that the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and the Christian Social Union of Bavaria (CSU) are not sufficiently conservative. It was founded in 1983 by former CSU members Franz Handlos and Ekkehard Voigt, and Franz Schönhuber was the party's leader from 1985 to 1994. The Republicans ( pl, Republikanie) is a national-conservative political party in Poland, and former political association. It was founded as an association in 2013, which was instrumental in the creation of Kukiz'15, which it joined in 2017. Adolf Stahr
Adolf Wilhelm Theodor Stahr (; 22 October 18053 October 1876) was a German writer and literary historian. Life Stahr was the son of the preacher and pastor Johann Adam Stahr (1768–1839). He attended grammar school in Prenzlau. In 1825 at the request of the parents he went to Halle to study theology, but soon changed because of his enthusiasm for the classics, and studied philology. After graduating, he taught for ten years at the Royal Pädagogium in Halle. In 1834 he married the preacher's daughter Marie Krätz. The marriage produced five children, three boys (Alwin, Adolf and Edo) and two girls (Anna and Helene). In 1836, he became Vice Chancellor and Professor at the Gymnasium in Oldenburg. A collection of critical work on the Theatre appeared in 1845 (''Oldenburg theater review'', 2 vols).
