The Reckless Lady
''The Reckless Lady'' is a 1926 American silent drama film directed by Howard Higgin and starring Belle Bennett, Lois Moran, James Kirkwood, and Lowell Sherman. Plot As described in a film magazine review, the attentions of Feodor, a Russian, to Mrs. Fleming results in her husband, Colonel Fleming, leaving her. The wife retains the child Sylvia. Years later Mrs. Fleming is gambling in Monte Carlo. Feodor reappears and makes love to Sylvia. The American Ralph Hillier was her other suiter. Mrs. Fleming attempts to commit suicide but is saved by Ralph and her husband. The Colonel pursues Feodor, who leaps over a cliff. The elder Fleming couple are reunited, and Sylvia accepts Ralph. Howard Higgin
Howard Higgin (February 15, 1891 - December 16, 1938) was an American writer and director of motion pictures in the 1920s and 1930s. Biography After graduating from the Pratt Institute, Higgin began working at the architectural firm McKim, Mead & White, but his interest in the theater resulted in his designing stages for John Cort and then at the First National Pictures film studio as a property boy. Higgin was production manager on Cecil De Mille's ''Forbidden Fruit'' (1921). Higgin's first directing job was a 1922 comedy for legendary Wallace Reid, '' Rent Free''. Marcia Harris (born Lena Hill, February 14, 1868 – June 18, 1947) was an American actress. She appeared in 48 films between 1915 and 1932. She was born in Providence, Rhode Island, and as an amateur acted primarily in male lead roles with the Chelsea Club theatrical organization in Boston.
