West Coast hip-hop is a regional genre of Hip-hop, hip-hop music that encompasses any artists or music that originated in the West Coast of the United States. West Coast hip-hop began to dominate from a radio play and sales standpoint during the early to-mid 1990s with the birth of G-funk and the emergence of record labels such as Suge Knight and Dr. Dre's Death Row Records, Ice Cube's Lench Mob Records, the continued success of Eazy-E's Ruthless Records, Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment, 50 Cent's ''Get Rich or Die Tryin''' and many others. Epinions.com was a general consumer review site established in 1999. Epinions was acquired in 2003 by DealTime, later Shopping.com, which was acquired by eBay in 2005. Epinions users could access paid product reviews; the company sold advertising on its site and shared the revenue with authors as an incentive for quality content. Competition from sites that crowdsourced reviews for free led to years of financial decline. On 25 March 2014, all community features, and features for submitting and editing reviews, were disabled. Subsequently, in May 2018, the site was fully closed down, and URLs in the epinions.com domain redirect to Shopping.com. Eric Dwayne Collins (born October 8, 1967) better known by his stage name RBX (standing for "Reality Born Unknown"), is an American rapper from Long Beach, California. Early life and education Collins was born and raised in Long Beach, California. After graduating Long Beach Polytechnical High School in 1985, he received a scholarship to play college football for UNLV, alongside future Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight. His football career was cut short after sustaining a torn ACL, which helped push him to pursue a career in music. Contrary to popular belief, Collins is not related to funk legend Bootsy Collins, although the two are close friends. Career 1992–1995: Death Row Records RBX joined Death Row Records in 1992 with his cousins Snoop Dogg and Daz Dillinger. Tower Records is an international retail franchise and online music store that was formerly based in Sacramento, California, United States. From 1960 until 2006, Tower operated retail stores in the United States, which closed when Tower Records filed for bankruptcy and liquidation. Tower Records was purchased by a separate entity and was not affected by the retail store closings.
