The Quiet Hype
The Quiet Hype is the electropop duo Jupiter Rising's third studio album and was released on March 17, 2009, and is what they call their beat heavy dance album by Seventeen magazine. Background The album features an eclectic mix of electro/dance pop, soulful ballads and even the occasional stab at social commentary. The influences vary from pop, rock and hip-hop to dance, electropop, and techno dressed in heavy drums, synths, and guitars. Jupiter Rising was an American pop duo consisting of Jessie Payo and Spencer Nezey. The band was signed to Chime Entertainment and formed in 2005. They are best known for their songs "Go! (Jupiter Rising song), Go!", which was also featured on the soundtrack to ''Jump In!'', and "Electropop (Jupiter Rising song), Electropop", which topped the dance charts and achieved a million plays on Myspace. Electropop is the second studio album by pop/ electronic dance/ hip hop music group Jupiter Rising released by Chime Entertainment on September 11, 2007. The album featured the singles Electropop and Go!. Critical response The album received positive reviews. Lauren Mooney's of URB Magazine review of the album (and Jessie Payo) is very positive: Before dismissing Jessie Payo as just another pretty face in the mass production of dance tracks, listen to what Jupiter Rising's founder Spencer Nezey has to say, "I know I can trust Jessie. Without her, there would be no Electropop." Sounds serious. In the first single that shares the same title as the album, Jessie sings "I may be your sweet spot/Take me to your candy shop." Ash Winston Riser (August 29, 1989 – June 12, 2021), also known by his former stage name Ashtrobot, was an American recording artist and music producer. Born and raised in California, he embarked on his music career when he was 15 years old, forming a rock band called Pistol Pistol (stylized P!stol P!stol). Due to differences between members, the band broke up in 2009 and Riser subsequently began to put his focus on music production, fusing electronic and hip hop music, among other genres.
