''The Public'' is an alternative newsweekly which publishes 35,000 copies each Wednesday in Buffalo, New York, United States. It focuses on Buffalo-area art, music, culture, and politics. ''The Public'' was founded in 2014 when several of the writers and editors of fellow weekly paper, Artvoice left following concerns about that paper's finances and internal conflicts. The former Artvoice contributors were joined by several new contributors. ''The Public'' features locally created art on its covers and in weekly centerfolds. The paper is distributed for free throughout the Buffalo-Niagara region. In addition to the print version, all of ''The Public'''s content is available at their website, www.dailypublic.com. ''Artvoice'' is an American web based publication covering arts, business, and general editorial news nationally and internationally. Artvoice began in Buffalo, New York, in 1990 as a free weekly print publication with a 65,000 circulation. ''Artvoice'' covered arts, theater, music, food, sports, politics, urban development and environmental issues in the Buffalo region. Artvoice first published content online in 1996. It was founded by Jamie Moses in 1990. It had an ownership change in 2015. Every Time I Die
Every Time I Die was an American metalcore band from Buffalo, New York, formed in 1998. For most of the band's career, the line-up was centred on brothers Keith (vocals) and Jordan Buckley (guitar), as well as rhythm guitarist Andy Williams with bassist Stephen Micciche being in the band for a collective 15 of the bands 24 years. After spending the first decade of their career on the Ferret Music label, they signed with Epitaph Records in 2008 and remained there until their split in early 2022. Keith Buckley (born November 19, 1979) is an American singer, best known as the vocalist and lyricist of the now defunct hardcore punk band Every Time I Die and the heavy metal supergroup The Damned Things.
