''The Promoter'' is a 2013 independent feature documentary film made by Ragged Crow film production company. The film was produced by Sam Edwards and directed by Ed Edwards. ''The Promoter'' premiered at The London Independent Film Festival in 2013. It won two awards at the United Film Festival: Best Documentary Award and the Audience Award. Ed Edwards is an advertising executive and filmmaker. Career Ed Edwards has created commercials for companies including Audi, the BBC, Lexus, and Lynx. In 2003, he won the D&AD Yellow Pencil for the BBC "Love of Life" campaign. He directed the Yoomoo "Ice Skater" commercial produced by Donnie Masters of Serious Pictures, Viasat Film Channel "Love Christmas" (which was nominated for a Promax Award in 2013), MTV Rocks "Car Guitar", and the cinema ad "Pamina" for the charity Against Breast Cancer. Adam Ant
Stuart Leslie Goddard, better known as Adam Ant (born 3 November 1954), is an English singer, musician, and actor. He gained popularity as the lead singer of new wave group Adam and the Ants and later as a solo artist, scoring 10 UK top ten hits from 1980 to 1983, including three UK No. 1 singles. He has also worked as an actor, appearing in many films and television episodes. Born in Marylebone, London, Ant began his musical career playing bass in the band Bazooka Joe. From 1977 to 1982 he performed with Adam and the Ants, and their debut album ''Dirk Wears White Sox'' (1979) reached number one on the UK Independent Albums Chart. Rusty Egan
Rusty Egan (born 19 September 1957 in London) is the former drummer for the British new wave band Rich Kids. They were founded by former Sex Pistol Glen Matlock (bass guitarist and backing vocals, occasional lead vocals), with Steve New (guitarist and backing vocals, occasional lead vocals) and fronted by Jim Midge Ure (guitarist, lead vocals and occasional backing vocals and keyboards player), from their inception in March 1977 to their disbanding in December 1978. He continued working with Ure, and later collaborated with The Misfits, Skids, Shock, and Visage. However, Egan did not return to Visage when they reformed with a new line-up in 2004. He was the DJ at Blitz, the influential New Romantic nightclub in London where he worked with Steve Strange from 1979 until 1981. Eve Ferret (born 14 October 1955 in Pimlico, London, England) is a British actress, comedian, and singer-songwriter known for her work on the films ''Haunted Honeymoon'' (1986), '' Absolute Beginners'' (1986), and ''EastEnders'' (2019). Personal life Eve Ferret is the eldest of three children born in Pimlico, London. Mother, Janet is one of seven sisters also raised in Pimlico and was a professional Tea Lady. Portobello Film Festival
The Portobello Film Festival is an independent international film festival based in London, which annually premiers over 700 new films, including feature films, features, short films, shorts, documentaries, music films, and animation. Additionally, workshops and talks with top film directors (such as Stephen Frears and John Maybury) are also featured. Admission to the three-week-long festival is free of charge.
