The Predator (film)
''The Predator'' is a 2018 American science fiction action film directed and co-written by Shane Black and Fred Dekker. It is the fourth installment in the ''Predator'' franchise. Black had a supporting role in the original film, while John Davis returns as producer from the first three installments. Starring Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Thomas Jane, Alfie Allen, and Sterling K. Brown, it follows a group of PTSD-afflicted soldiers and a scientist who must team up to fight off an invading pair of Predators and discover their plans for mankind. Shane Black
Shane Black (born December 16, 1961) is an American filmmaker and actor who has written such films as ''Lethal Weapon'', ''The Monster Squad'', ''The Last Boy Scout'', ''Last Action Hero'', and ''The Long Kiss Goodnight''. As an actor, Black is best known for his role as Rick Hawkins in ''Predator'' (1987). He made his directorial debut with the film ''Kiss Kiss Bang Bang'' in 2005. Black went on to write and direct ''Iron Man 3'' (2013), ''The Nice Guys'' (2016), and '' The Predator'' (2018). Early life and education Black was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the son of Paul and Patricia Ann Black. TSG Entertainment Finance LLC ( d.b.a. TSG Entertainment) is an American film financing entity which primarily funds live action films. TSG stands for parent company The Seelig Group. TSG was established after the U.S. theatrical release of '' Parental Guidance'' to replace Dune Entertainment as a result of Dune not renewing their deal with 20th Century Fox. Fox was looking for a new long term co-financing arrangement and made a deal with TSG Entertainment.
