Andrzej Witold Wajda (; 6 March 1926 – 9 October 2016) was a Polish film and theatre director. Recipient of an Honorary Oscar, the Palme d'Or, as well as Honorary Golden Lion and Honorary Golden Bear Awards, he was a prominent member of the "Polish Film School". He was known especially for his trilogy of war films consisting of ''A Generation'' (1955), ''Kanał'' (1957) and '' Ashes and Diamonds'' (1958). Life Malet's stage debut came in ''La guerre de Troie n'aura pas lieu'' as Troilus alongside Claude Jade in 1975. Witold Skaruch (11 January 1930 – 17 February 2010) was a Polish character actor and director. He appeared in films, television shows and miniseries from 1953 until 2009. Skaruch, who was born in Ciechanów, Poland, began his professional acting career as a journalist on '' Trzy starty'' in 1953. His career continued until in 2009. Skaruch's notable film roles included 1962's ''How to Be Loved'', the 1963 film '' New Year's Romance'', '' Pan Pan Michael'' in 1969, and ''Fears'', which was released in 1979. Piotr Machalica (13 February 1955 – 14 December 2020) was a Polish theatrical and cinematic actor. Biography Machalica was born into a family of actors. His father, Henryk Machalica and his brother, were both actors. Machalica had two children with his first wife Małgorzata Machalica, Sonia and Franciszek, before the couple divorced. He then dated actress for a time before he married Aleksandra Sosnowska on 19 September 2020.
