Plea
In legal terms, a plea is simply an answer to a claim made by someone in a criminal case under common law using the adversarial system. Colloquially, a plea has come to mean the assertion by a defendant at arraignment, or otherwise in response to a criminal charge, whether that person pleaded or pled guilty, not guilty, '' nolo contendere'' (a.k.a. no contest), no case to answer (in the United Kingdom), or Alford plea (in the United States). The concept of the plea is one of the significant differences between criminal procedure under common law and procedure under the civil law system. Under common law, a defendant who pleads guilty is automatically convicted, and the remainder of the trial is used to determine the sentence. This produces a system known as plea bargaining, in which defendants may plead guilty in exchange for a more lenient punishment. Pleidae, the pygmy backswimmers, is a family of aquatic insects in the order Hemiptera ( infraorder Nepomorpha, or "true water bugs"). ''The Plea'' ( ka, ვედრება translit. ''Vedreba'', russian: Мольба, translit=Molba) is a 1967 Soviet art drama film directed by Tengiz Abuladze and co-written with Revaz Kveselava and Anzor Saluqvadze. The film based on the poems of Vazha-Pshavela. It regarded as an influential classic and is an appreciated work of 20th century world cinema. Plot Aluda from Khevsureti had killed Mutsali in the combat, but he forgave him and did not cut off his right hand. Therefore Aluda was banished from his community... Jokola got acquainted with Zviadauri when he was hunting. He hosted him and he offered him to stay for the night, but Kists noticed their enemy, they took away Jokola's guest and killed him on the Kist's grave. The Plea are an Irish, Ballyliffin based, indie rock quartet. They were the first band signed to Apollo Records (An Indie/Rock offshoot of Belgian Dance/Techno label R&S Records, who signed acts such as Aphex Twin) Band members *Denny Doherty: Vocals, Electric/Acoustic Guitars, Piano *Dermot Doherty: Electric/Acoustic Guitars, BV's *Paul Toland: Bass *Gerry Strawbridge: Drums and Percussion Additional keyboards by John Leighton Biography Brothers Denny and Dermot Doherty formed their first band in their teens, moving from Ballyliffin to London to Boston, performing covers and original music. They spent a year in Minnesota recording a never-released album after a scout for a US label saw them at London’s Barfly. Returning to Ballyliffin, the brothers formed The Plea with drummer Gerry Strawbridge and bassist Paul Toland, and began posting original material to MySpace. Alassane Alexandre Pléa (born 10 March 1993) is a French professional footballer who plays as a striker or winger for Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach and the France national team. In law as practiced in countries that follow the English models, a pleading is a formal written statement of a party's claims or defenses to another party's claims in a civil action. The parties' pleadings in a case define the issues to be adjudicated in the action. The Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) govern pleading in England and Wales. Federal Rules of Civil Procedure govern pleading in United States federal courts. Each state in the United States has its own statutes and rules that govern pleading in the courts of that state.
