The Pauses
The Pauses is an indie rock band from Orlando, Florida, formed in 2009 consisting of Tierney Tough, Jason Kupfer, and Nathan Chase. Their sound has been called indierocktronica due to its merging of genres. The band also playfully refers to their sound as "beep boop rock". History The Pauses released their first album, ''A Cautionary Tale ', ''in 2011 through New Granada Records. The band funded the album via a Kickstarter campaign and recorded it with producer J. Robbins of Jawbox fame in Baltimore, MD, at The Magpie Cage. "Go North"'','' the first planned single from that album, was added to the Rock Band Network. The Good Life (band)
The Good Life is an indie rock band on Saddle Creek Records. Started as a solo project of Cursive's frontman Tim Kasher, The Good Life quickly grew to become its own established group. The original intent of The Good Life was to provide Tim Kasher with a vehicle to perform songs that did not fit stylistically in with his long-running band Cursive. Kasher fronts the group and plays the part of the singer/songwriter. The other members of the band include Stefanie Drootin, Ryan Fox, and Roger Lewis. The Good Life has its core in those four musicians, but besides Kasher can be a rotating cast of characters involving many from Saddle Creek Records. The band's name came from the original state slogan for Nebraska, the home of Kasher and Saddle Creek, before 2003, when the slogan was changed. The ''Knoxville News Sentinel, also known as Knox News,'' is a daily newspaper in Knoxville, Tennessee, United States, owned by the Gannett Company. History The newspaper was formed in 1926 from the merger of two competing newspapers: ''The Knoxville News'' and ''The Knoxville Sentinel''. John Trevis Hearn began publishing ''The Sentinel'' in December 1886, while ''The News'' was started in 1921 by Robert P. Scripps and Roy W. Howard. Weezer
Weezer is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1992. Since 2001, the band has consisted of Rivers Cuomo (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Patrick Wilson (drums, backing vocals), Scott Shriner (bass guitar, keyboards, backing vocals), and Brian Bell (guitar, keyboards, backing vocals). Five Eight is a band from Athens, Georgia, USA. Since 1992, Five Eight has recorded eight Compact Discs. They previously toured with R.E.M. and have performed with Cheap Trick, The Ramones, Cracker, Pylon, and Seven Mary Three. The group is prominent in the Athens/Atlanta area and has played at Athens Recovery Fest. The band came together in 1988 in Athens when an earlier incarnation, known as The Reasonable Men, disbanded. Before settling on the name Five Eight, they played at least one show under the name The Helgrammites. ''Water & Solutions'' is the fourth album by American rock band Far. Background The album was recorded in April 1997, nearly a full year before being released in March 1998. During the 11 month interval, the band released the promotional ''Soon'' EP in October 1997, which contained two songs from the upcoming album, as well as a cover of the Jawbox song " Savory", and an acoustic version of the 1996 track "Sorrow's End". Far was an American rock band from Sacramento, California, formed in 1991. Although Far only experienced limited commercial success, the band had considerable influence on underground rock music.
