A White Walker is a humanoid creature from the HBO television series ''Game of Thrones'', and the George R. R. Martin novel series ''A Song of Ice and Fire'' on which it is based. Primarily referred to as the Others in the novels, White Walkers are a supernatural threat to mankind who dwell north of The Wall in Westeros. ''The Others'' is an American television series created by John Brancato and Michael Ferris, and produced by Delusional Films, NBC Studios, and DreamWorks Television. It ran for thirteen 40-minute episodes from February 5, 2000, to June 10, 2000, airing on NBC. It concerned a group of people with various psychic talents as they encountered different, and often evil, paranormal forces. It was an ensemble series. It featured in the third attempt by NBC to air a Saturday night supernatural/paranormal programming block, joining '' The Pretender'' and '' Profiler'' as the Thrillogy, but all three shows were canceled by season's end. Premise Marian Kitt, a university student, is forced to come to terms with her frequently unwanted paranormal abilities, attempting to do so by joining The Others, a group with similar talents. Rosemary's Sons is a Dutch band which makes music described as mainstream pop/rock and rootsrock. The band formed in 1998. The Others are an English rock band. They signed to Poptones in July 2004 and their eponymous debut album was released on 31 January 2005. Career The band formed in 2002 and quickly became renowned for their riotous live shows. By 2004, they had started to perform so-called " guerilla gigs", which saw them play on a Hammersmith & City line tube train, on the dodgems at the Leeds festival, and on the famous Abbey Road crossing in London. The band, particularly lead singer Dominic Masters (born 12 December 1977), maintain a close relationship with their fanbase, affectionately known as the 853 Kamikaze Stage-Diving Division. The band are also known for accessibility which resulted in the popularity of the websites forum, which played a key part in keeping the fanbase together and organizing the following to collect together for gigs. The Others were an American garage rock band formed in South Kingstown, Rhode Island, in 1964.
