Edward Sloman
Edward Sloman (19 July 1886, London - 29 September 1972, Woodland Hills, California) was an English silent film director, actor, screenwriter and radio broadcaster. He directed over 100 films and starred in over 30 films as an actor between 1913 and 1938. Post-cinema work After directing over 100 films and starring in over 30, Sloman made his last film in 1938 and in 1939 left the film industry to enter radio broadcasting as a writer, producer and director. Unfortunately the majority of Sloman's works have been lost. However, his 1927 Universal silent ''Alias the Deacon'' starring Jean Hersholt is held by the Library of Congress. He died in Woodland Hills, California in 1972 aged 86. Frankie Lee (December 31, 1911 – July 29, 1970), was an American child actor. He appeared in 56 films between 1916 and 1925. Best remembered in the 1919 film '' The Miracle Man'', he was the little boy on crutches healed by the phony faith healer just after Lon Chaney. He is the older brother of child actor Davey Lee. He was born in Gunnison, Colorado, United States. Death On July 29, 1970, Lee was shot in the head four times while he was asleep in his studio apartment in Los Angeles, California, 5 months before his 59th birthday. His cause of death was due to homicide. Katherine Duffy (13 February 1872 – 4 January 1943), known professionally as Kate Price, was an Irish-American actress. She is known for playing the role of Mrs. Kelly in the comedy series ''The Cohens and Kellys'', made by Universal Pictures between 1926 and 1932. Price appeared in 296 movies from 1910 to 1937. Jerome Patrick
Jerome Patrick (June 2, 1883 – September 26, 1923) was a New Zealand born American stage and film actor. Born Alexander Patrick, he worked as a dentist while acting locally and in Australia, where in 1912 he married Ethel Joan Meynelle, the daughter of a prominent Australian theatrical manager. He then moved to the US in 1914 and also spent time in Toronto, where he signed up for the Canadian Expeditionary Force during World War One (noting he had previously served four years with the New Zealand Hussars. He was discharged after 'several' nervous breakdowns, the doctor noting a previous heroin addiction and unstable nervous system, although completely abstaining from alcohol.
