The Sons Of Adam
The Sons of Adam (earlier the Fender IV) were an American garage rock band. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, they relocated to Los Angeles and became a regular fixture on the Sunset Strip music scene during the mid-1960s. The band released several singles for the Decca and Alamo labels, which included the songs "Saturday's Son", "Feathered Fish" (written by Arthur Lee) and "Baby Show the World". They included guitarist Randy Holden, later of The Other Half and Blue Cheer, and drummer Michael Stuart, later of Love. Although the band, with Randy Holden, played "Feathered Fish" in clubs before it was recorded, Craig Tarwater played the guitar on the studio recording since Holden had left by then. Dot Records was an American record label founded by Randy Wood (record producer), Randy Wood and Gene Nobles that was active between 1950 and 1978. The original headquarters of Dot Records were in Gallatin, Tennessee. In 1956, the company moved to Hollywood, California. In its early years, Dot specialized in artists from Tennessee. Then it branched out to include musicians from across the U.S. It recorded country music, rhythm and blues, polkas, waltzes, Gospel music, gospel, rockabilly, pop music, pop, and early rock and roll. After moving to Hollywood, Dot Records bought many recordings by small local independent labels and issued them nationally. Geoff Westen is an American musician, songwriter, artist, producer and graphic designer. He was a member of the seminal San Francisco rock group The Other Half with guitarist Randy Holden, and was subsequently a founding member of Epic Records' recording group C.K. Strong with lead singer Lynn Carey. Recording as The Balls in London, he released the single "I Love The Balls" on Towerbell Records, and the follow-up release "I Never Dress Right" under the name The Scoop.
