The Order Of Honor Star
The Order of Honor Star is one of Egypt's highest military decorations. It is awarded to the officers, non-commissioned officers, soldiers of the Egyptian Armed Forces for performing acts of extraordinary gallantry and intrepidity in direct combat with the enemy. Privileges and courtesies The Order confers special privileges on its recipients. The recipients have several benefits: * A monthly reward of twenty thousand Egyptian pounds, the recipients retains the monthly reward for the duration of his service and if he is transferred to a civilian job and also when he is referred to the pension. * The education of his children is free of charge in various stages of education in all state-owned schools, colleges and institutions and are exempted from admission requirements with respect to age and total scores. Egyptian Armed Forces
The Egyptian Armed Forces ( arz, القُوّات المُسَلَّحَة المِصْرِيَّة, alquwwat almusalahat almisria) are the military forces of the Arab Republic of Egypt. They consist of the Egyptian Army, Egyptian Navy, Egyptian Air Force and Egyptian Air Defense Forces. The President of the Republic serves as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. The Order Of The Sinai Star
The Order of the Sinai Star is a two-degree military order in Egypt. It is Egypt's highest military honor, awarded for personal acts of extraordinary gallantry and intrepidity in direct combat with the enemy. The order is awarded to officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers of the Egyptian Armed Forces. A total of 68 officers and soldiers have been awarded the order. It was created in 1972, and it consists of a ribbon and a medal. The ribbon of the first and second degree consists of three horizontal lines, red, white, black, and an extra golden eagle is placed on the ribbon for first degree recipients. Ahmad Ismail Ali
Ahmad Ismail Ali ( ar, أحمد إسماعيل علي) (14 October 1917 – 26 December 1974) was the Commander-in-Chief of Egypt's army and minister of war during the October War of 1973, and is best known for his planning of the attack across the Suez Canal, code-named Operation Badr. Ali's mother was of partial Albanian descent. Abdul Munim Riad
Abdul Munim Riad ( ar, ;عبد المنعم رياض 22 October 1919 – 9 March 1969) was a general and chief of staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces. Riad commanded the Jordanian forces in the 1967 Six-Day War and later commanded Egyptian forces in the War of Attrition, during which he was killed along with several of his aides in 1969. Saad el-Din Mohamed el-Husseiny el-Shazly ( ar, سعد الدين محمد الحسيني الشاذلي, )‎ (1 April 1922 – 10 February 2011)was an Egyptian military commander. He was Egypt's chief of staff during the October War. Ahmed Badawi Sayyid Ahmed (Arabic: أحمد بدوي سيد أحمد) was an Egyptian Field Marshal (Mushir) and the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces. Early life Ahmed Badawy was born in the coastal city of Alexandria in 1927. Hosni Mubarak
