The Old Fire Hall
The Old Fire Hall is the name given to the original home of The Second City company in Toronto and is located at 110 Lombard Street. The Old Fire Hall was built in 1886 and served as the Toronto Fire Department Headquarters until 1910. It was vacated in 1970, Second City performed there from 1973 until 1997, when it moved to 56 Blue Jays Way (in 2005, the company moved to 51 Mercer Street). Dan Aykroyd, John Candy, Joe Flaherty, Eugene Levy, Andrea Martin, Mike Myers, Catherine O'Hara, Gilda Radner, Martin Short and Dave Thomas, among others, all got their starts there. Catherine Anne O'Hara (born March 4, 1954) is a Canadian-American actress. Gilda's Club
] Gilda's Club is a community organization for people with cancer, their families and friends. Local chapters provide meeting places where those who have cancer, their families, and friends can join with others to build emotional and social support as a supplement to medical care. Free of charge and nonprofit, Gilda's Club chapters offer support and networking groups, lectures, workshops and social events in a nonresidential, homelike setting. David William Thomas (born May 20, 1949) is a Canadian actor, comedian and television writer. He is best known for being one half of the duo Bob and Doug McKenzie with Rick Moranis. Gilda Susan Radner (June 28, 1946 – May 20, 1989) was an American actress and comedian, and one of the seven original cast members of the "Not Ready For Prime Time Players" on the NBC sketch comedy show ''Saturday Night Live'' (''SNL''). The Second City
The Second City is an improvisational comedy enterprise and is the oldest ongoing improvisational theater troupe to be continually based in Chicago, with training programs and live theatres in Toronto and Los Angeles.
