The Ohio State University at Newark is a satellite campus of Ohio State University in Newark, Ohio. During its early years, classes were held at old Newark High School. In 1966, over one million dollars pledged by 7,000 local citizens to match funds from the state legislature supported the cost of buying of land and constructing the first building, Founders Hall, which opened in 1968. History Since Founders Hall opened, it has become home to classrooms, general administrative and faculty offices, labs and the library. Hopewell Hall, opened in 1976, and includes labs, a student lounge area, classrooms, faculty offices, the cafeteria, the bookstore, financial aid and fees and deposits. Adena Hall was completed in 1978 and contains the gymnasium and workout facilities, classrooms, laboratories and faculty offices. Licking County is a county located in the central portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. At the 2020 census, the population was 178,519. Its county seat is Newark. The county was formed on January 30, 1808, from portions of Fairfield County. It is named after the Licking River, which is thought to be named for the salt licks that were in the area. Max M was the music project of composer Max Møller Rasmussen, based in Odense, Denmark. He released two albums studio albums for Hard Records titled ''Technology Is God'' and ''Max M Corporation'', respectively released in 1992 and 1994. History Max M was founded by Danish composer Max Møller Rasmussen in as a solo outlet for his work. He self-released the EP ''Get Wild'' on vinyl record. and contained the guitar contributions of Carsten Lassen, who helped Rasmussen record his previous release. Max M released his debut studio album, titled ''Technology Is God'', for Hard Records in 1992. Newark High School (Ohio)
Newark High School is a public high school in Newark, Ohio. It houses a little more than 2,000 students. It is the only high school in the Newark City Schools district. An additional 150 students attend the Career and Technical Education Center (C-TEC) associated with the school. Newark High School was built in 1959 and opened in 1961. The school underwent a massive construction project beginning in the Summer of 2010 and completed in the Spring of 2013 to convert the school into one building with 6 classroom wings, a student commons, a gymnasium, an auditorium, and the facility in which the entire district's lunches are produced.
