''The Odd-Job Men'' ( ca, Sis dies corrents, links=no; ) is a 2021 Spanish-French comedy-drama film directed by Neus Ballús which stars Mohamed Mellali, Valero Escolar and Pep Sarrà. Plot A dramedy blurring the limits between a fiction film and a documentary, the film exposes racist prejudices in the Catalan society. It tracks the day-to-day life of three plumbers/electricians (performed by semi-professional actors) in the outskirts of Barcelona. It features dialogue in Spanish, Catalan and Amazigh. Neus Ballús
Neus Ballús (born 1980) is a Catalan film director and scriptwriter. She has a degree in Audiovisual Communication and a Master in Documentary Making from the Pompeu Fabra University. She released her first film ''La plaga'' (The Plague) in 2013, which was screened at the 63rd Berlin International Film Festival. It won 4 Gaudí Awards and was nominated for the LUX Prize, the European Film Awards and the Goya Awards. The film portrays everyday life in a rural zone of the periphery of Barcelona, named Gallecs. ''Fotogramas'' is Spanish digital and print film magazine which has been in circulation since 1946. It is one of the early film magazines in Spain. History Founded in Barcelona, it was first published on 15 November 1946 by Antonio Nadal-Rodó and María Fernanda Gañán. On 5 February 1951, the magazine awarded their first Placa de San Juan Bosco award to actor Jesús Tordesillas for his performance in 1950 film ''Pequeñeces''.
