Jack Nitzsche
Bernard Alfred "Jack" Nitzsche ( '; April 22, 1937 – August 25, 2000) was an American musician, arranger, songwriter, composer, and record producer. He first came to prominence in the early 1960s as the right-hand-man of producer Phil Spector and went on to work with the Rolling Stones and Neil Young, among others. He also worked extensively in film scores, notably for films such as ''Performance'', ''The Exorcist'' and '' One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest''. In 1983, he won the Academy Award for Best Original Song for co-writing "Up Where We Belong" with Buffy Sainte-Marie. ''Pajama Party'' is a 1964 beach party film starring Tommy Kirk and Annette Funicello. This is the fourth in a series of seven beach films produced by American International Pictures. The other films in this series are ''Beach Party'' (1963), ''Muscle Beach Party'' (1964), ''Bikini Beach'' (1964), '' Beach Blanket Bingo'' (1965), ''How to Stuff a Wild Bikini'' (1965), and ''The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini'' (1966). This fourth entry has not always been considered a follow-up to the three films that preceded it.
