The Night Nurse
''The Night Nurse'' is a 1978 Australian television film about the relationship between a former opera star and her night nurse.Ed. Plot Prudence wants to become independent of her artist ex-boyfriend Rick, and so she arrives at the grand home of The Diva, a once famous opera singer, to interview for a night nurse position. Instantly hired by the septuagenarian, she soon begins to experience odd things. And the other staff member, stone faced Clara, shows Prudence nothing but resentment, and clearly wants her gone. Prudence soon learns that all is not what it seems in this household, leading her to a ghastly discovery and to unearth dangerous secrets from the past. Robert Bruning
Robert Bruning (27 May 1928 – 4 March 2008) was an Australian actor and film producer, who was the founder of film production firm Gemini Productions Biography Bruning was born as Robert Bell in Dongara, Western Australia in 1928. He worked as an amateur actor at the New Theatre in the Sydney suburb of Newtown in the 1940s and 1950s. Bruning also was a regular guest performer in ''Homicide'', ''Division 4'', ''The Sullivans'' and ''A Country Practice''. He also had substantial roles on Australian films such as 1970's ''Ned Kelly'' and his production credits, on sitcoms, variety, and drama add up to more than 200 hours of television. Of his production career, he is notable for his creation of Australia's first telemovie, '' Is There Anybody There?'', of which 21 more were made. Ron McLean (writer)
Ron McLean (1943–1983) was an Australian screenwriter, producer and executive producer, best known for his work on TV. He wrote most of the episodes for ''Spyforce'', which he helped create. He had a long collaboration with producer Roger Mirams. Biography McLean was running a woman's shoe shop in Double Bay, Sydney when he read an article about a TV series being made in Australia, ''Riptide'' (1969). He sent them a couple of stories which the show liked and he taught himself how to adapt them into scripts. He wrote some episodes of '' Skippy the Bush Kangaroo'' and did sketches for ''The Mavis Bramston Show''. He came much in demand in the early 70s, writing a number of shows for Crawford Productions. McLean met Roger Mirans when working on ''Woobinda, Animal Doctor''. The two formed a company, South Pacific Films, which made ''Spyforce''. Early years Kate grew up in the Adelaide suburb of Dover Gardens, and it was in Adelaide that her love for classical music, art and cricket developed. Gary Day (born 10 November 1941) is a New Zealand former actor, playwright and lighting director who has appeared in Australian television police drama series, including ''Homicide'' and ''Murder Call''. Television Day worked as a male model and appeared in several television commercials. This led to guest roles in episodes of '' Skippy the Bush Kangaroo'', police dramas ''The Link Men'', '' The Long Arm'', ''Homicide'' and ''Matlock Police'' produced by Crawford Productions. This culminated in the regular role of Senior Detective Phillip Redford in Crawford's series ''Homicide'' in 1973. Redford was a university graduate who had served as a bomb disposal expert in Vietnam, and was anti-violence as a result. The National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA), known as ScreenSound Australia from 1999 to 2004, is Australia's audiovisual archive, responsible for developing, preserving, maintaining, promoting and providing access to a national collection of film, television, sound, radio, video games, new media, and related documents and artefacts.
