The Next Step (Kurt Rosenwinkel Album)
''The Next Step'' is Kurt Rosenwinkel's fourth album as a band leader. It is his second release on Verve, and regarded as a major step in his creative evolution. Rosenwinkel says of the album: "It represents the culmination of many life phases for me. Some of these phases started ten years ago and have finally found resolution in this record. It represents the next step in my music and in my life". The album debuts a number of compositions which would become staples of his live performances, and would also be re-recorded on his albums Deep Song and Star of Jupiter. The material was developed by the band during their frequent gigs at Smalls Jazz Club in New York City. Mitch Borden, the club's owner recalled that, "Kurt Rosenwinkel's band played with such dramatic fire, that it would consume everyone present". ''The Next Step'' is the debut studio album by People Under the Stairs, released on March 24, 1998. The duo were responsible for nearly every aspect of the album's production and initial release. Quick sales of the album and its sole single, "The Next Step II", also helped to get the group noticed by the label Om Records, with whom the group produced four other albums and found greater success. Background After spending several months recording material and performing their first few shows in 1998, Thes One and Double K used Thes One's student loan funds to independently press and release their first 12-inch single, "The Next Step II". Just weeks after the single was released, the shopkeeper of the now-defunct Mr. Bongo record shop purchased a large number of copies of it for his shop. When he played it on an ordinary day in the store, customers rushed the counter and it sold out within minutes. ''The Next Step'' is the 59th and final studio album by American musician James Brown. The album was released on August 27, 2002, by Fome Records. "The following year he was the subject of a PBS American Masters documentary, James Brown: Soul Survivor. He continued performing well into the first decade of the 2000s, appearing at the second Bonnaroo festival in 2003, at the Edinburgh Live 8 concert in 2005, and setting out on his "Seven Decades Of Funk World Tour" in 2006." Brown died of congestive heart failure due to complications from pneumonia on December 25, 2006, four years after ''The Next Step'' was released. ''The Next Step'' is a television program that aired on KRON in San Francisco and later on The Discovery Channel during the 1990s. It was created and hosted by Richard Hart and produced by Dan Sexton. ''The Next Step'' showcased the latest in cutting-edge technology and its applications from electric vehicles to virtual reality. The final segment of each episode was dedicated to "Paul and Phil, The Answer Guys", hosted by noted radio hosts Paul Robbins and Phil Cowan. ''The Next Step'' is a Canadian teen drama series. Created by Frank Van Keeken, the series follows the members of a troupe from the titular dance studio, as they train for and compete in various championships, and deal with rivalries with other dance schools and drama among the team itself. The series is presented in a style influenced by reality television. The series originally premiered on Family Channel on March 8, 2013, and has spawned digital content, as well as live touring shows featuring its cast members, and a spinoff series, ''Lost & Found Music Studios.'' The Revolutionary Communist Party, known as the Revolutionary Communist Tendency until 1981, was a Trotskyist political organisation formed in 1978. From 1988 it published the journal ''Living Marxism''. After 1991, the party abandoned Trotskyism and mainstream leftism before publicly taking a libertarian position. It was disbanded in 1997, although a number of former members maintain a loose political network to promote its ideas.
