	The New Statesman (1984 TV Series) ''The New Statesman'' is a British television sitcom which first aired on BBC 2.Perry p.156 It consists of seven episodes, including the original pilot. It is unrelated to the ITV series of the same name which began three years later. The life of the pompous, grandiose curator of a small agricultural museum near Aylesbury is turned upside down when he inherits a Welsh Earldom. However, his inheritance turns out to be far less grandiose than he expects. 	Douglas Watkinson Douglas Watkinson is an English novelist, playwright and screenwriter, specializing in crime and mystery. 	Madeline Adams ''Madeline'' is a media franchise that originated as a series of children's books written and illustrated by Ludwig Bemelmans, an Austrian-American author. The books have been adapted into numerous formats, spawning telefilms, television series and a live action feature film. As a closing line, the adaptations invoke a famous phrase Ethel Barrymore used to rebuff curtain calls, "That's all there is, there isn't any more". The stories take place in a Catholic boarding school in Paris. The teacher, a nun named Miss Clavel, is strict but loves the children, cares for them, and is open to their ideas. 	Ivor Roberts (actor) Ivor Roberts (19 July 1925 – 5 September 1999) was a British actor and a television continuity announcer who often appeared in comedic roles. Born in Nottingham, he returned to acting following service in the Royal Navy during the Second World War. Roberts started his television career as a continuity announcer on regional television in Wales, working for TWW before that company lost its franchise in 1968.
