Such Gold
Such Gold is an American punk rock band from Rochester, New York, United States, currently consisting of Ben Kotin on guitar and vocals, Nate Derby on guitar, Jon Markson on bass and vocals and Matt Covey on drums. History Such Gold formed officially in 2009, and self-released ''Demo 2009'' in the Spring of that year. The band signed to Mightier Than Sword Records in June 2009 and released a CD EP/7” titled “Stand Tall” in August 2009. In Spring 2010 Such Gold announced signing to 6131 Records and recorded their new CD EP/12”, titled “Pedestals” ; “Pedestals” was released digitally in September 2010, and physically in November 2010. Razor & Tie
Razor & Tie was an American entertainment company that consisted of a record label and a music publishing company. It was established in 1990 by Craig Balsam and Cliff Chenfeld. Based in New York City (with additional offices in Los Angeles and Nashville), Razor & Tie releases were distributed by Universal Music Group. Razor & Tie initially focused on compilation albums and re-issues. Directly marketed through television spots, the label had early success with 70s, 80s and 90s-themed albums, beginning with ''Those Fabulous 70s'' in 1990. A retail label was launched in 1995 to release new albums from established and developing artists, including Dar Williams, Graham Parker and Marshall Crenshaw. Razor & Tie continued to expand their rock signings, and by 2016, with releases by artists including The Pretty Reckless, Starset, All That Remains and Red Sun Rising it had become a leader in the genre. ''Misadventures'' is the full-length debut album by pop punk/hardcore band Such Gold. The album was released on August 14, 2012 through Razor and Tie Records. The album was praised by critics and fans a like and is a major stepping stone for the upcoming band, and it was a more mature album compared to the band's previous releases; Pedestals, Stand Tall, and the split with Into It Over It. The album was released on 12" records, compact discs, as well as digital download, and the first single "Storyteller" was also released on a 7" inch record, with the B-side being "Locked Out of the Magic Theater." To promote the album the band went on a headlining tour with Mixtapes and Citizen.
