The Naked Now
"The Naked Now" is the second episode of the first season of the American science-fiction television series '' Star Trek: The Next Generation,'' originally aired on October 5, 1987, in broadcast syndication in the United States. Directed by Paul Lynch, the episode had been written by D. C. Fontana, under the pseudonym of "J. Michael Bingham", with John D. F. Black also credited for his role in devising the plot's origins. Set in the 24th century, the series follows the adventures of the Starfleet crew of the Federation starship ''Enterprise''-D. In this episode, the ''Enterprise'' encounters a research ship where all personnel are found dead. Starfleet
Starfleet is a fictional organization in the ''Star Trek'' media franchise. Sickbay
A sick bay is a compartment in a ship, or a section of another organisation, such as a school or college, used for medical purposes. The sick bay contains the ship's medicine chest, which may be divided into separate cabinets, such as a refrigerator for medicines requiring cold storage and a locked cabinet for controlled substances such as morphine. The sick bay and the medicine chest should be kept locked, with the keys only being available to the medical officer and the ship's master. Cheryl Gates McFadden (born March 2, 1949) is an American actress and choreographer. She is usually credited as Cheryl McFadden when working as a choreographer and Gates McFadden for acting work. Geordi La Forge
Geordi La Forge ( ) is a fictional character who appeared in all seven seasons of the American science fiction television series '' Star Trek: The Next Generation'' and its four feature films. The Naked Time
"The Naked Time" is the fourth episode of the first season of the American science fiction television series ''Star Trek''. Written by John D. F. Black and directed by Marc Daniels, it first aired on September 29, 1966. In the episode, a strange, intoxicating infection, which lowers the crew's inhibitions, spreads throughout the ''Enterprise''. As the madness spreads, the entire ship is endangered. This was the first episode in which the audience saw the Vulcan nerve pinch (the nerve pinch was actually filmed first in " The Enemy Within", but the latter was broadcast a week after "Naked Time").
