The Myer Centre, Brisbane
The Myer Centre is a multi-storied retail building located between the Queen Street Mall and Elizabeth Street in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia named after Myer, its largest tenant. It is a nine-floor shopping complex which includes Queensland's largest Myer department store. It was Australia's largest central business district retail development until 1991 when superseded by Adelaide's Myer Centre. Stores The Myer Centre is currently home to approximately 180 stores. Upon opening in 1988 it housed 230 stores including Australia's second-largest Myer department store. The Myer Centre stores are open to the public seven days a week. Queen Street Bus Station
Queen Street bus station is the primary bus terminus in Brisbane central business district in Queensland, Australia. It is underneath The Myer Centre and Queen Street Mall. It opened on 26 March 1988. At the time it was the largest underground diesel bus station in the world. Queen Street bus station serves as the terminus of many routes servicing the South East Busway, Southern and Eastern Suburbs and the Centenary / Indooroopilly / Kenmore corridor. It is served by 35 routes all operated by Brisbane Transport. No Northern Busway services directly connect King George Square busway station with the Queen Street busway station. After stopping at King George Square, a number of inbound services bypass the Queen Street stop or terminate at the Cultural Centre on the southern side of the Brisbane River, and vice versa. World Expo 88, also known as Expo 88, was a specialised Expo held in Brisbane, the state capital of Queensland, Australia, during a six-month period between Saturday, 30 April 1988 and Sunday, 30 October 1988, inclusive. The theme of the Expo was "Leisure in the Age of Technology", and the mascot for the Expo was an Australian platypus named Expo Oz. Albert Street, Brisbane
Albert Street is a street in the Brisbane CBD, Queensland, Australia. It was named after Prince Albert, the Prince Consort of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom. Albert Street railway station is being built directly beneath the street and is expected to open in 2024. Brisbane River
The Brisbane River is the longest river in South East Queensland, Australia, and flows through the city of Brisbane, before emptying into Moreton Bay on the Coral Sea.
